Pakistan Golden Age of Aglow
Dr. Tahira Saleem, National President of Aglow Pakistan, pointed out to me in a message recently that women (especially those over the age of 50) are facing many negative thoughts and battling spiritual warfare from spirits of depression, and other negative spirits that can become a chain around a strong tree, so after having recently opened an incredible and Divinely inspired new Aglow group in her nation called “Golden Age Aglow” for the older generations of women in Aglow, Dr. Tahira also called women together for the first Golden Age Aglow event.
The scriptural reference for this group is from Psalm 92:14 “They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing.” And there is no greater word to describe this incredible group of women than the word “flourishing.”
The event was held on April 30th, and Dr. Tahira focused on the topic of Spiritual Warfare. Mrs. Noreen Deeba Alexander and Dr. Tahira Saleem were speakers at the event, and the group was led in worship by Mrs. Gulnaz Saleem. The event was coordinated with the help of Mrs. Kausar Arthar. Over 120 women came to the meeting event, which was very fruitful and made a big impact on the attendees and leaders who gathered in the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Dr. Tahira explained to me in a message that the Lord put on her heart to share with the women about how to break the chain of negative thoughts. The message also brought a teaching on how to engage in spiritual warfare and how to fight against the spirit of depression, and many other enemy spirits that women face today. The women were prayed over and released from these negative spirits, and then were taught how to put on the full armor of God. The group was split into four groups and then equipped with knowledge and instruction on how to battle in victory over these spirits, and together in their groups battled together against these things.
