Aglow Transformation Evangelism Team – Philippines Outreach
An Aglow Transformation Evangelism team of ten traveled to the Negros and Siquijor Islands in the Philippines on February 25 for two weeks of glorious adventures with our Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Pastor Teresita Feliccio and her family, our national Aglow leader, not only hosted us but had prepared in advance for numerous open doors to share the love of Jesus.
Our team came from five different states and two countries, working alongside very capable Filipino believers. During our time together, we traveled by car, plane, boat, and bus, going wherever the Lord opened doors.
More than 2,000 youth heard the Good News of Jesus at one university and several schools. Many prayed prayers of salvation and received prayer for healing and comfort. At the local jail, 155 inmates listened to our testimonies and heard Jesus’ heart for them, receiving prayer as they dedicated their lives to the lordship of His love.
The Radio Program reached the nations of the world, and our ministry to the employees and Department Heads of our Electric Company had amazing results.
Our outreach included a youth purity ball, a Generations Project with a “Fashioned in Jesus” presentation, teaching on how to live in Christ as a young entrepreneur, and messages on what it means to live in the Spirit.
Two large community outreaches were held with music, dance, and messages, drawing an estimated 700–800 people, many of whom prayed salvation prayers.
We were also invited to pray for the mayor and his staff, for school staff, and each of us spoke in churches on Sunday. In addition, we were welcomed to minister at an Aglow conference. Everywhere we went, more people wanted to hear about and receive Jesus.
Steven Meyers, one of the MOIs on the team, shared:
Although I deeply cherished the opportunities given to me to release the teaching the Lord sent with me, I believe the greatest memory I will carry from this trip is the youth we ministered to. Between the high schools and the college students, I saw an incredible level of hunger for the Lord. I am convinced that the next generation will play a pivotal role in a coming great awakening.
Jennifer Kuehn, SPC for Michigan, wrote:
The portion of the Philippines I visited with the team exposed us to many different communities and settings. We visited schools, met with government officials, ministered in a jail, held large city outreaches, spoke in a variety of churches, and participated in an Aglow conference.
A major focus of our ministry was the youth. We encountered people from many walks of life, and the hunger among the youth was very tangible. Because of this openness, the Holy Spirit moved in power.
Even in areas run by government authorities, we were welcomed to bring the Good News to the people, and the officials themselves were encouraged as they received prayer. In the jail there was a beautiful, tangible presence of the Holy Spirit that was welcomed by everyone. This reflected the groundwork Pastor Lem and Tessie had prepared beforehand. Their humble servant hearts are deeply respected, and their care reaches far and wide from where God has placed them. What an amazing work and example of steadfastness this couple demonstrates.
Personally, this trip was a stepping up in my gifting. I was able to impart His dynamic presence through preaching and prayer to many people. The Holy Spirit came with deep conviction and comfort everywhere we ministered. Pastors and school employees told us, ‘We have never seen weeping like this among the youth and adults.’
When we spoke at a secular university and gave an invitation for salvation and personal prayer, it seemed that nearly everyone came forward. Our team member Sandy said she felt the Comforter had come upon the students. It was a powerful move of His glorious and loving ways—and that was the atmosphere throughout our entire time there.
A short summation by Janet Mangum, team leader
Awakening Seeds
Plans, surprises, and holy invitations
drew us into faith and love’s awakenings.
We showed up.
We stepped up.
And our Lord rose up among us—
just as He promised:
“I will build My church.” — Matthew 16:18
“My word… shall accomplish what I please and prosper where I send it.” — Isaiah 55:11
Across islands and oceans
the love of Jesus traveled—
by plane, by boat, by bus, by willing hearts.
In classrooms, jails, churches, and city streets
hungry hearts leaned forward
and heaven answered.
Healing tears fell, prayers rose,
and the Holy Spirit moved gently yet powerfully
among the young and the older alike.
Seeds of hope were planted,
faith was awakened,
and the next generation lifted their eyes to the Lord—
for “those who sow in tears shall reap with songs of joy.” — Psalms 126:5
Wherever we went
doors opened,
hearts responded,
and the name of Jesus was welcomed.
May the seeds sown across Negros and Siquijor
continue to grow,
bearing fruit for generations—
“The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.” — Habakkuk 2:14
All for the glory of Christ.
I have a heart for the Philippine people! I’m so glad to hear of all the creative gatherings you were able to do for the youth. God is so good!
One day! I shall go again.
Bless you one and all!! May all that Holy Spirit accomplished be kept aNd exceeded! Jesus for the Philippines! Amen.
