Do you have a favorite Scripture? I have many, but one that continually inspires me is Ephesians 3:20:

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

Every time I read this verse, I am reminded of the incredible goodness and limitless power of God. It stretches my faith and invites me to dream beyond what I can see with my natural eyes. It encourages me to pray bigger prayers, trust more deeply, and believe that God is at work far beyond my understanding.

How comforting it is to know that God is not limited by our circumstances, our resources, or even our own imagination. He is not restricted by the challenges we face or the solutions we can devise. The Lord sees the beginning and the end, and He is able to accomplish far more than we could ever ask, think, or dare to hope for.

Isn’t that wonderful? The God who created the heavens and the Earth invites us to partner with Him in His purposes.

One phrase in this verse especially captures my heart: “according to the power that works in us.” God doesn’t simply work around us—He works through us. The power at work within us is the power of the Holy Spirit, God’s own Presence dwelling in His people.

The word translated power carries the idea of mighty, miraculous ability. What an amazing thought! Through the Holy Spirit, God has placed miracles in you! Let God astound you with the miraculous power of His Spirit as He does miracles in you and through you that are above your biggest dreams.

My friend, perhaps God wants to enlarge your vision today. Perhaps He is inviting you to believe again, to hope again, or to step forward in faith where fear has held you back. The same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead lives in you. His power is still at work. His plans are still unfolding. His miracles are still happening.

May we open our hearts fully to all that He desires to do in us and through us. May we allow Him to surprise us with His goodness, expand our capacity to believe, and lead us into adventures of faith that exceed our greatest expectations.

Lord, enlarge our hearts to know You more. Increase our faith to believe You for greater things. Fill us with more of Your Presence, more of Your love, and more of Your miraculous power. Let our lives reflect Your glory as You work in us and through us in ways that are beyond anything we could ask or imagine. Amen.

A Strategic Prayer Initiative

Thank you for all who have adopted a nation. Thank you for all of your prayers! Our Aglow army is a global army! We want every nation touched! And every heart changed! As we prepare to enter the soil of these lands and come into contact with the lives that Jesus died to free, pray that there would be an awakening in the leaders of these nations. That as we prophesy light into darkness, hearts would soften to the love of Jesus. All of these nations will be visited and have “boots on the ground” between September 23 and October 4! Look what God has done through our prayers!!

Shomer (Guardian)

Psalm 121:3-8 He will not let your foot slip—your guardian is not asleep. No, the guardian of Isra’el never slumbers or sleeps. ADONAI is your guardian; at your right hand. ADONAI provides you with shade—the sun can’t strike you during the day or even the moon at night. ADONAI will guard you against all harm; He will guard your life. ADONAI will guard your coming and going from now on and forever. 

In Israel, all soldiers must do guard duty. The constant attentiveness, long hours, and desert heat can be wearying. BUT—they have a Guardian. We thank You, Lord, that You are their Guardian who never gets weary of keeping watch over the people and the land of Israel.

A Note and A Prayer

Nancy McDaniel referenced Ephesians 3:20 in the opening post. Paul wrote this verse from his prison cell because he wanted to remind his fellow believers that Christ’s power working inside of us is far greater than any earthly circumstance or limitation! I was recently watching the Pan American swimming competition. One of the female swimmers had set a new world record at a race in the morning. That same evening, she set another world record in another race! I heard her telling the reporter who interviewed her that she refused to believe she had limits. Instead, she told herself, “You can do better!” And she did! How much more can we with Christ living inside us! Christ in us is limitless! So, speak to your mountain! Speak to your limitation! Let’s practice it together:

• I declare that Christ in me is greater than any limitation!
• I declare that any mountain standing in my way has to be removed!
• I declare that the limitless power of God breaks open new pathways before me!
• You declare something of your own here!

As you speak these truths aloud to your circumstances, make sure to record the testimonies of what God does to your circumstances and limitations, as His power works inside of you! Then share what He does!
