No thing!

Recently, Nancy McDaniel was speaking to a congregation, and I had the joy of listening in through a webcast. She referred to a circumstance that took place suddenly. Out of the clear blue, it landed, and one moment she was okay and the next moment she wasn’t. She prefaced her story by saying that she is not one who thinks that everything bad that happens is from the enemy. “Sometimes, we don’t make the best choices,” she said. “And sometimes those choices lead to consequences.” But this particular circumstance she was referring to was in fact a matter of warfare, and it was in fact from the enemy! As she engaged in the battle through prayer, she got a text from an intercessor.

The intercessor handed her a scripture that changed the face of the battle. The scripture was John 14:30: “I will no longer talk much with you (Jesus is speaking), for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.” A couple of other translations say:

• “He has no power in Me.”
•  “He has no claim on Me.”
• “He has no power over Me, for he has nothing to use against Me.”

As Nancy processed that scripture with the Lord, He led her into a deeper place of abiding.

A place where there is no place for the evil one to get in. No place! No opening! No thing! And no room for the hook of the wicked one! Nancy is more than fine today! Not only did she come through that circumstance, but the Lord took her into a deeper place of hiddenness in Him. She concluded by saying that we are at a critical time where there is no room for anything to have a hold on our hearts – nothing except the love of God! It is time for the Blood to remove every hook from our souls so that no compromise can be found in us!

Here are some declarations from Nancy for us to release. Declare them out loud over yourself!

• I declare the blood of Jesus covers and hovers over every area of my life.
• I declare that nothing, no thing, has any hold or claim on me, not on my body, not on my spirit, not on any place in my soul.
• Satan has no hold on me. Darkness of the past, present, or future has no claim, no hold, and no place in my soul.
• There is One who has a hold on me. That is my Lord Jesus Christ! By His blood, I am free!
• No evil, no darkness, no trauma, no illness, no circumstance, and no opinion of others can paralyze me!
• Nothing has any hold on me because I am hidden in Christ with God (Colossians 3:3).

A Strategic Prayer Initiative

Did you know that you can adopt a nation in prayer?

To adopt is a verb, and it means:

• To take by choice into relationship (a child, heir, friend, citizen, etc.)
• To take or receive as one’s own what is not so naturally.

So, what does that look like in prayer? Below is a list of nations we are targeting each month. Ask Holy Spirit to highlight a nation to you from this list. Look for one to stand out. Maybe you won’t hear Him the moment you pray. But perhaps later on you will be listening to the news and you will hear them mention one of the names. Or perhaps you will be in conversation with someone, and they will mention one of the countries. Or you may be reading, and a name from the list will catch your eye! Take that as a sign from God that He wants you to choose that nation! You’ve just chosen to adopt that nation!

Next, go to Him with it in prayer. Maybe it didn’t come naturally, but you received it anyway. That is adopting it. As you pray for the nation, God will carve out a place in your heart for that nation. He will put His love there for the people, and you will begin to ask Him for the people of the nation to come into the knowledge of Him! You are caring for that nation in prayer! We can all do this! Surrounding Israel In Prayer

Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more. Jeremiah 31:31-34

Father, we pray that by Your Holy Spirit the Jewish people will be drawn to Jeremiah 31:31-34, that they will read it for themselves and discern correctly and come to salvation in their Messiah, Yeshua!

A Note and a Prayer

I remember when I was wrestling with a particular area of my life. I was a fairly new believer, and the Lord was beginning to deal with some areas of my life that needed pruning. I would do well for a time. Then the pace of life would pick up, and I would get caught up in this fleshly cycle all over again. And whatever ground I had gained would go out the window! I couldn’t seem to stay free. There was a hook of the enemy in me. In my frustration, I went to an older lady seeking wisdom.

After explaining my dilemma to her, she told me a story. She said when she was a new believer, God delivered her from a spirit of anger. One day, while driving home from a Bible study, she remembered the words of someone at the study who accused her of something she had no part in. As she drove home, she began to think about what that person said. And as she did, what felt like a damp cloth fell over her (in the spirit). She felt all that anger come back on her! And as she drove, she said to the Lord, “I thought I dealt with that?” And before the Lord could even answer her, she blurted out, “He DID deliver me! Get out!” And as quickly as that spirit came, it left her!

The enemy was testing her deliverance and was trying to get a hook back in her, but as soon as she recognized that she had been set free, she realized that he had nothing, no thing in her! No claim! No power! No thing to use against her! As we explore the areas in our lives where the enemy has been given a place, where there may still be a hook, may we surrender those areas to God, and allow His love to fill those places.

We declare nothing has any hold on us because we are hidden with Christ in God!
