Daily Bread

In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus teaches us to pray, ‘Give us this day our daily bread’ (Matthew 6:11). That means we come to God each day with fresh dependence, trusting Him to provide what we need for today, just as He provided manna in the wilderness—bread from Heaven given day by day (Exodus 16:4, 15–21).

Each morning, we can ask God not only for provision, but also for wisdom, direction, and discernment. Scripture tells us, ‘If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives generously to all” (James 1:5). And Proverbs reminds us to ‘trust in the Lord with all your heart’ and He will ‘make straight your paths’ (Proverbs 3:5–6).

Aglow International, when we pray for our daily bread, we are also saying: ‘God, give me today what we need. Show me the right path. Lead me in Your wisdom. Help me know what to do, how to do it, and where to go.’

Let every nation come before Him and let all the earth praise His name and celebrate the majesty of Jesus!

A Strategic Prayer Initiative

As we continue our prayer thrust into some of the nations where the Father is longing to penetrate hearts, I want to thank you for helping to prepare the soil through your prayers. God is going before us! Below is the list of those nations. I have highlighted Egypt and Saudi Arabia because a team of three intercessors from Aglow will join several others in travelling to these nations to pray on site. The dates are listed below. Please be praying for this strategic time and for heaven to invade earth over these precious lands!

The dates for praying on site will be SEPTEMBER 22 – OCTOBER 4, 2026. Thank you for participating in prayer with Light the Nations along with Aglow and thirty-eight other ministries around the globe, as we go after these souls!

Surrounding Israel In Prayer

L’KHOL L’ROSH is the Jewish name for Head Over All.

I Chronicles 29:11-12 “Yours, Adonai, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty; for everything in Heaven and on earth is yours. The kingdom is yours, Adonai; and you are exalted as HEAD OVER ALL. Riches and honor come from you; you rule everything; in your hand is power and strength; you have the capacity to make great and to give strength to all”.

We, as Aglow, submit to Your authority and give You first place in our lives. God of Israel, we pray that Your people in the land would truly come to know You as their exalted leader and ruler. We pray that they would truly humble themselves before You as such. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.

A Note and A Prayer

When I was newly saved, I remember a time when I had to be at a certain event. I didn’t really want to go, but it was a thing I couldn’t get out of. And I was broke. I barely had enough money for food and rent – which made matters worse. I kept thinking that I should have been saving that bus fare to pay my rent! But I needed to go, and off I went. I didn’t know what was going to happen because I only had enough money for bus fare one way. My heart was in fear – but I tried to push those feelings aside. (I didn’t know yet how to deal with fear). When the event was over, I went right back to the bus station. Another lady there dropped me off. I thanked her and said goodbye. As I sat there, I asked the Lord what I was supposed to do. As I waited for Him to answer, the lady who dropped me off came walking back towards me. She was almost embarrassed and pushed a folded-up $20 bill into my hand. “I’m supposed to give this to you,” she said. And walked away. I didn’t even get to thank her! She was out of there so fast! It was more than enough for the fare home and for food!

It was my daily bread!

I don’t know each of your needs, but I know that His provision will come in unexpected ways, through unexpected means as we practice going to Him in each of these things! He watches over His Word to bring it to pass!
