Colorado National Day of Prayer
Cheryl Newbanks, North Colorado Area President, organized the National Day of Prayer gathering and invited local pastors and the local community leaders to join in for this solemn assembly.
Cheryl opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and said an opening prayer. She asked Aglow Members and Community Leaders to lead in each of the guided prayers printed in the official folder by the National Day of Prayer organization, praying for church, family, education, business/workplace, military, government, arts, entertainment, and media. Levi Yearous, son of Yuma Lighthouse President, Crystal Yearous, represented our young generation Aglow members in prayer for our church and family.
Crystal Yearous led in worship as we sang, “God Bless America, our National Anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner,” and “America the Beautiful.” We were in unity as the Holy Spirit blessed our time to pray and sing over our United States of America.
Finally, we know thousands of groups were praying all over America, and we remember the words of our Savior, “Where two or three gather in My Name, there am I with them.” Mathew 18:20. NIV.
If your Aglow group organized or participated in the National Day of Prayer or was in attendance in D.C. as the nation was rededicated to God, we would love to hear your story and see your pictures.
