Radical Renewal
by Kathy Sanders, Director of Strategic Resources & Projects
Having gone back through Graham Cooke’s 2025 Conference message, Radical Renewal, I viewed it through a new lens and saw 70 key statements that jumped off the page. You can access them on the Aglow website in four languages.
I encourage you to process through the statements slowly, with a friend or a group. Why? Because we don’t always grasp what Graham is saying on the first read, it helps to hear others as they process, too.
Here is my personal, favorite key:
- Key 18: Aglow requires fewer caretakers and more powerful developers of people with vision and purpose, and who have new eyes to see who Aglow needs to become next.
I would love to read your comments about what this statement could possibly mean for Aglow and for you, personally.
I’ve also worked with the new Leader Development Committee, made up of members of the US National team, after Nancy McDaniel asked that we come up with discussion questions to help all of us dive deeper into the revelations contained in Graham’s message for Aglow and the Body of Christ at large. Here are links to the documents in all 4 languages.
Personally, I would use the document that contains the discussion questions within the message for ease of use and to read the context that relates to the questions. You will find many cross-references to previous messages, how to obtain Graham’s book on Crafted Prayer, and other statements made by past Aglow speakers that relate to what Graham is saying. Here are links to the documents in all 4 languages.
Here are a few of my favorite questions:
- Question 4: List external circumstances that you have allowed to challenge the peace of the inner man.
- Question 8: Aglow does walk under an apostolic anointing. That does not mean that we are apostles; it means that we have an anointing like an apostle does, which enables us to take territory, start new works, disciple converts, and establish Ecclesia hubs in communities around the world. When you hear the words, Apostolic anointing, what does this mean to you? When you hear the words, “Ecclesia hubs’, what does this mean to you?
NOTE: For more on what the Ecclesia is, see Tim Sheets’ messages.

- Soak Them with Hope (English | Español | Français | Português)
And I’ll close with my favorite question.
- Question 16: Graham said that Aglow needs more powerful developers of people with vision and purpose, and who have new eyes to see who Aglow needs to become next. As you read that statement, what are your thoughts? Do inadequacies flood your mind? Slowly, let them all go. Graham also said earlier that Aglow became a movement because of a heart cry that allowed God the freedom to draw us forward. Can you, will you step beyond all inadequacies and fears and let your whisper be, Lord, help me to one of the powerful developers of people who have new eyes to see who Aglow needs to become next. I am willing. Help me, Holy Spirit.
I want to – we want to challenge you to take a deeper dive into what Graham has said to us. It would be good if you did it with those attending your meetings, for in doing so, you are becoming a powerful developer of the people in your Aglow group. Take your time. Do not rush. Just get started and allow Holy Spirit to lead you.
Years ago, I was reading one of Graham’s books, Keys to Brilliant Focus. I was so touched by it that I would post statements on Facebook. A friend challenged me to get a group together by conference call – we didn’t have Zoom then – and have a book study. Honestly, I didn’t want to. But, I did with the thought that there were 52 devotional-like chapters and I’d lead us through it as fast as I could. Little did I know the plans God had for us. Two and a half years later, we finished. By that time, we had built a community of trust. We developed love for one another, and we didn’t want our time together to end.
I challenge you to take this message with the discussion questions embedded within the transcript and begin to taste and see how good the Lord will be to you. I promise you. You will go in one way and come out another! Happy processing!
