Rose Armstrong, President of the Michigan SW Area Team, recently sent in a ministry report updating the work of Aglow in their Area.

She said, “We are all hearing of how much God has His eye on Michigan, and we believe that the SW Area is an important part of God’s overall plan for Michigan. Currently, we have 3 active Lighthouse groups active in Muskegon, Kalamazoo, and in Holland. Each of these groups have plans for summer related activities as well as continuing with Bible studies.

Both Kalamazoo and Holland are located in what is called the snow belt by local residents. Being close to Lake Michigan causes winter conditions to change quickly, bringing the dreaded lake effect snow with road closures and hazardous driving conditions. You might guess that all activities slow down during winter months. Early fall and summer tell another story.

Muskegon is growing and developing a ministry that will be impactful for the area. Two new leaders were added to the team: Ann Brown as President and Tami Nederhoed as VP of Ministry Development. Both are past leaders and bring passion and vision. They are active in a monthly prayer group concerning Human Trafficking, a Grief Support Group, and some great plans for the future.

During the coming summer months, we will be holding events that will bring information and awareness of what Aglow is and how it can impact women and, in turn, their families. We hope to engage new leaders and make other connections.”

Let’s pray for this team as well as the other Aglow teams in Michigan, for creative ways to reach all women in their state. Lord, we join with the Aglow leaders on every level of the ministry in Michigan as they pull the thread to unravel the garment that cloaks many women in their state. Give them strength, favor, courage, and boldness as they receive assignments to take back towns and cities where Lighthouses have stood before.

We join them in calling for the appointed leaders for this time in history to come forth now, and take your places. We call for revival on every campus. Draw in the young people so that not one in this generation is left behind. We call for the provision God has stored up to begin to make its way into Aglow accounts so that there is no lack as they put their hands to the plow to bring in the harvest.
