Aglow news from around the world
We have often said that Aglow was and is built upon the foundations of prayer and evangelism. We are known for prayer in the nations, and we are known for evangelism. We are also familiar with the words of Jesus in Mark 16:15, “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.” And, I believe it was Brother Andrew who said, “And, use words if necessary.”
As you may be aware, Aglow International was birthed during the Charismatic Renewal in the 60’s. People were hungry for more of God, and this fresh, new wave of interest in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit was the catalyst that propelled many into a deeper place in their relationship with God. Because Father Dennis Bennett, an Episcopal Priest, was filled with Holy Spirit in 1960, he shared his experience in the Church he led in California. It wasn’t long before he was asked to leave, and he moved to Seattle, WA. Many women who would become Aglow’s early leaders were…
One of the beautiful Core Values of Aglow International is Freedom — “Standing firm against everything that enslaves” (Galatians 5:1). This value doesn’t just sit on a page; it moves us.

Aglow International is a beautiful, global family of praying women and men—generation to generation—joining our hearts together before God. By the power of the Holy Spirit, in the mighty Name of Jesus, our hearts are woven together with the heart of our Father… and with one another. What a comfort it is to know that when you or I stop to pray, someone else in Aglow—somewhere in the world—is lifting their voice at that very same moment. We are never alone in prayer. One of the ways we…
Teen Aglow (Generations) in Zambia continues to expand into new Kingdom territory as their incredible group leaders are inspired by the Holy Spirit with new ways to reach the younger generations in their community and nation!
Aglow Spain was on the move recently, gathering over 1,500 women at two large conferences. The gatherings were held in the Spanish Cities of Burgos, with over 900 in attendance, and held from January 30 to February 1, and Merida from February 6-8, 2026.
Recently, I took the opportunity to revisit the job descriptions for each position on Lighthouse Teams and Area Teams. It was amazing to reread and see the identity and anointing contained in the opening paragraphs. As I read through several of the prayers that each team member is to pray over herself, I realized that this should be revisited often.
The Zip Code Club is a children-focused prayer group whose mission is to learn how to pray. Formed in conjunction with a trip across Pennsylvania, it was birthed because we were looking for the next generation of leaders to bring up in Aglow.
