Thread Pulled, Garment Unraveled

As one who keeps my finger on the prophetic words given to Aglow through the years, one word that is always in the back of my mind is one we refer to as the ‘Thread Word.’ If you were at conference in 1991, you will instantly know what I’m talking about. And you will know if you were at conference in 1993 that God repeated Himself about Islam through Steve Penny from Australia.

And if you were at conference in 1995, you will remember the ROAR that came forth from those attending when Rick Joyner, who seemed to be stalling at the podium, turned to Jane and said something along the lines of “God is saying that He will give you Islam if you will take it.”

Here are the three words from those conferences:

Prophetic Words Given to Aglow about Islam

  A. 1991

God spoke powerfully at our Aglow International Conference in 1991:

“For you have seen the great darkness and yea, you have said it is a formidable enemy and how shall we penetrate that darkness? For yea, it cloaks the nations, it cloaks the Muslim nations and you say to Me, ‘O Lord my God, those religious beliefs are ingrained and woven into the very fabric of their being and yet, shall they be free?’ And I say unto you tonight, yes, they shall be free. For as it takes only one thread to unravel a garment so shall I unravel the garment of Islam, even as I have unraveled the garment of communism in this hour. Yea, My people, I cry unto you, lay hold of that thread in My power and My might and we shall disrobe the garment of Islam,” saith the Lord.

In a chapter in Barbara Yoder’s book, God’s Bold Call to Women (Regal Books), Aglow President, Jane Hansen wrote:

“When I think of the garment of Islam, I think of the burka, a garment worn by many Muslim women, covering them from head to foot. It is physically, and in a spiritual sense, like a shroud. TIME magazine called it a “body bag for the living.” God began to‛ unravel’ that shroud by showing the world in a very powerful way the condition imposed upon women by a system.”

B. 1993

At our 1993 International Conference, one of the speakers, Steve Penny from Australia, confirmed the word from 1991:

“I don’t know what happened in 1991 in your Aglow convention, but Jane, I feel the Lord has given me a word for you. In 1991 something of God’s purpose for this ministry was sown into your hearts by the Word of the Lord. Conception took place. Something fresh…something new…something for the ministry began to bubble. This was a new hour for the ministry of Aglow. I feel like the word for this conference is that which is being conceive–is being confirmed by the Spirit of God. Hasn’t yet come to birth. I believe that in a couple of years ahead, there will be a birthing of the things that have been seeded into your hearts, but at this conference, the Spirit of God is confirming, ‘This is what I’m doing. This is My plan.’”

 C. 1995

At our 1995 International Conference, speaker Rick Joyner reconfirmed the Islam word when he said:

“Now I want to give you an invitation from Him also–an invitation, I believe, to Aglow. I believe it comes directly from the Lord: The Lord will give you Islam if you will take it.”

 In Harun Ibrahim’s 2015 conference message, he gave a glimpse into the life of a Muslim born and raised in Israel who married a Christian from Finland. As she prayed for him to come to Jesus, it happened! His life was radically changed, and now he oversees a TV program that is leading many Muslims to Christ. Often, all we see is the radical side of Islam, not the Muslim people who Harun says are the ‘first victims of Islam’. Seeing news of the violence surrounding radical Islam causes fear in so many, and to that, Harun says that is their greatest weapon. If we are afraid of them, we will not approach them with the Gospel.

In Romans 10, the chapter opens with these words, “My heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. Verse 14 begins, “How, then can they call on the One they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the One of Whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent?” We know the story. The Gospel came to the Jews first and then the Gentiles, and now, it is time for our future brothers and sisters in Christ, the Muslims, to hear the Good News about Jesus, God’s Son.

When God calls you to do something, He equips you. In Aglow, we have been trained and have had speakers who gave us clearer insights. We know the spirit behind Islam is probably the greatest anti-Christ spirit at work in the world today. And God has said to a predominantly women’s movement, “The Lord will give you Islam if you will take it.” ROAR!

We accepted the assignment and received those trapped by Islam into our hearts, beginning by pulling a thread to unravel the garment – to expose the demonic, political system pretending to be a nice religion. Next, we began to be educated by learning the differences between Islam and Christianity. WHY AGLOW AND ISLAM

Today, thirty-five years after God first spoke to us about unraveling the garment of Islam by pulling a simple thread, the whole world is aware of what Islam is and what they are about. Their plan to populate towns, cities, and states so they can be elected to positions where laws are made is working well, or so it seems. God has said that America will be saved. Our President dedicated our nation back to God this year. And a mostly unknown, predominantly women’s group has pulled the thread that unraveled a garment for the whole world to see what was once hidden.

What do we do now? We keep praying for revival to come forth in Muslim communities and especially in Iran. We call for dreams to come to Muslims in the night about the ‘Man in White’ who is Jesus. We prayer walk or drive around Muslim businesses and Mosques. We do not fear because GREATER is the One living on the inside of us than the one living on the inside of them. We do all from a spirit of Love, expecting to see millions come to Christ. God wouldn’t have given it into our hands if it was impossible.

God has positioned us spiritually and geographically. We were born for such a time as this. We are God’s secret weapon.
