Aglow news from around the world
Aglow International has long been considered a “Network for Caring Women” and this was even more evident by the story discovered in an Aglow Connection newsletter from March, 1997.
When we know who God has made us to be in the earth as part of the Aglow ministry, we know how we are to stand in our communities all around the world.
One of the greatest blessings that former Aglow staff members gifted to our current (and future) Aglow staff is the preservation of so much of Aglow’s historical records. There are days when opening a file cabinet feels like opening a time capsule that the Lord sealed, ready and waiting to open at “such a time as this.”
One of my tasks in this new era is to go back through conference messages that didn’t get transcribed and to make them available on the Aglow website. I was drawn to a message George Otis Jr. spoke to Aglow at the 2013 International Conference in Orlando, Florida. The title is Transforming Revival Defined.
This week during staff meeting, I feel the Lord reminded me of the prophetic word that there would be a Lighthouse in every town and village. Then I remembered a word I felt Holy Spirit whispered to me a while back. He said, “A Lighthouse is a gift He gives to a community. It is meant to be a LIGHT that draws the people in that community to Him in order to bring change to the people and to the community.”
Christian and secular news stories, and social media videos/podcasts continue to speak of Gen Z’s (born 1997-2010) notable shift in their engagement with the Christian church.
As many of you may or may not know, I have been working remotely from Texas since the end of May. What does that mean for you?
You have heard it said that Lighthouses are a gift of God to the community. And in 2006, a prophetic word was given that there would be a Lighthouse in every village, town, and city around the world. Why would God want an Aglow Lighthouse in all those places around the world?
