Courageous

We are excited to share news from Aglow in the nation of Spain!
Aglow Spain was on the move recently, gathering over 1,500 women at two large conferences. The gatherings were held in the Spanish Cities of Burgos, with over 900 in attendance, and held from January 30 to February 1, and Merida from February 6-8, 2026.
The theme for these two events was “Courageous” and included a message of encouragement, stressing the importance of living “courageously” according to Jesus’ calling.
Ana Gimenez, the president of Aglow Spain welcomed attendees at both events, stressing living out Jesus’ call with courage.
It was amazing to learn that for the first time in the history of Aglow Spain, local City Council representatives were in attendance in both cities.
The plenary sessions were led by Pastors Samuel and Sara Nielsen from the Iranian church in Barcelona. The Nielsen’s together encouraged attendees to live and preach the gospel, trusting in God’s power.
They shared personal testimonies from the time when Sara and her sister were imprisoned in Iran and held in solitary confinement, highlighting the divine care they experienced during this time. God was with them, giving courage to prevail.
They shared that “Difficulty is part of your story, but only God writes the ending…. And in Him the ending is always a victory”!
Pastor Jaz Jacob from the Amistad Cristiana church in Madrid, challenged women to step out of their comfort zones and rise up courageously to live in obedience, delving deeper into the study of the Word free from fear. She encouraged them to be women of prayer, to pray boldly and courageously. She spoke of Joshua as an example of someone who succeeded because of his obedience and his obsession with God’s presence.
Courage is the word we are hearing repeated from Aglow in the nations!
As the world grows darker and as there are wars and rumors of wars, now is the time for Aglow, as carriers of His light to rise and put on the full armor of God. Walking in His courage and strength…for His glory.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. – Joshua 1:9
