Dealing with Willfulness

The following is a daily thought taken from Nancy McDaniel’s Facebook page:

Nancy says that Holy Spirit led her to pray about willfulness and that it is a stronghold that needs to be dealt with on many levels. “Willfulness” means obstinately bent on having one’s own way,” she writes. It also refers to putting one’s own desires above the desire to grow. It signals a lack of discipline and a trait of disobedience.

“So how do we deal with this stronghold? First, present your own heart before the Lord. This is what I’ve done and will continue to do every time Holy Spirit brings willfulness to my attention. I can’t deal with it in my own nation, unless my heart is free of all willfulness. Lord, search my heart. Have I made excuses for any place of willfulness or stubbornness or rebellion?

Have I been more intent on being right than on being righteous? Forgive me, Lord! Help me to walk in a place of deep humility, submission to the growth You are bringing in my life and righteousness that flows from the position of my heart before You. By the power of Your Blood, break any stronghold of willfulness in my life and set me free! Make me pliable in Your hands and conform me to Your Will.”

“Next, from your position seated with Christ in Heavenly places, declare that any territorial spirit or principality that is stirring up an atmosphere of willfulness must loosen its grip and submit to the atmosphere of Heaven!”

• Lord, we declare that You alone are Lord; there is none but You!
• Lord, by Your power and the power of Your Blood, break the influence of any territorial spirit or principality that has people imprisoned by a stronghold of willfulness!
• Lord, clear and cleanse the atmosphere of the stronghold of willfulness, so we can be set free!
• Lord, we release those bound by willfulness – to forgiveness and to deliverance of Christ!
• Lord, break the stronghold of willfulness in those we are praying for!
• Lord, set their hearts, their minds, and their emotions free!
• Lord, set them free to see their need to walk in humility
• Lord, set them free to repent and set them free to know You more deeply!

Prophetic Declarations

From the moment they are spoken, prophetic words belong to us and must become as real in our hearts as they are in the heart of God. As the prophetic word is spoken, see God standing in the future, speaking back to you in the present. He is telling you who you are becoming. Be encouraged!

Here is part of a prophetic word Chuck Pierce brought to Aglow during a Regional Rally while in Dallas, Texas, last year.

Last month, we shared from Chuck Pierce’s word about the 5 levels of the prophetic that we operate from. He declared to Aglow at a Regional Conference that Aglow was coming into Phase Five of Prophetic Anointing, which is redemptive prophecy. Then at our National Conference, he spoke again, and he said of us that “the Lord has need of you!”

He went on to say, “You have things in you that He wants out of you! And I don’t mean demons, either! Because Hebrews 4:12 says this, the Word of God is quick and powerful, like it energizes – it is full of power. It makes active, it makes operative, and it energizes effectively. It is sharper than any two-edged sword penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life, soul, and the immortal spirit, and of the joints and marrow of the deepest parts of our bones. This is the Word of God that has gone forth through the years from this ministry. Here we are tonight. Think of the level of the Word of God that is stored up in our bone marrow.

Think of what has been released in this ministry that is now so stored up. And all of a sudden, the Lord says, “I have need of you. I have need of you for the future, because you have endured change after change and war after war and battle after battle and yet you are still here. So tonight, what He asks me to do is to unlock your bone marrow and cause that incredible storage that is down in you – even from Australia, I love it – that is down in you – and Canada and from Netherlands – and just think of what Aglow has stored in the bones of the world. The Lord said, “I have need of you.”

• Lord, we align ourselves with Your Word, released through Your Servant, in Jesus Name!
• Lord, we respond to You – and say – “Here I am, send me!”
• Lord, we call for a release of everything You have put within us and call it to come forth!
• Lord, we call for the Word of God that has been sharpened to be released though us!
• Lord, unlock our bone marrow so you can feed the world!

Surrounding Israel in Prayer

In the aftermath of the 12-day war between Iran and Israel, listed below are some prayer points to consider. In the wake of all that took place, a lot of families have been traumatized and devastated. Let’s continue to pray for:

• Divine protection over every town, every village, and every city.
• That those families who have sheltered in fear would come to know His peace.
• That the trauma would be lifted and a sense of healing would come.
• That those who have lost family members would be comforted in their grief.
• That wisdom would come to the leaders of the IDF – the soldiers and operators alike.
• That those in authority would turn to their God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
• For the remnant of believers in Israel, Lebanon, and Syria to be bold.
• That all hearts would come to know Yeshua, the only Refuge!

Summon the Nations!

Aglow International is called to take the Light of Jesus, bring hope, and build the Kingdom in all communities, cities, and nations.

• “Look! You will summon nations you’ve never heard of! Nations who have never heard of you will come running to follow you because Yahweh, your God, the Holy One of Israel, has glorified you.” Isaiah 55:5 TPT
• “He will lift up a banner to signal the distant nations; He whistles for them to come from the ends of the earth. Look! Here they come, running swiftly and speedily!” Isaiah 5:26 TPT
• “I will whistle for them and gather them in, for I have redeemed them, and they shall be as many as they were before!” Zechariah 10:8 ESV

Aglow in the Gates of the Nations

We are praying for Aglow to be affiliated in every nation of the world! We are very close to reaching that goal. Let’s continue to move forward together, a company of champions and global leaders of significance, to see Every nation touched, every heart changed.

• Declare Awakening throughout these nations of the earth:
  • Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Western Sahara
• Lord, let Aglow spread to every nation in the earth!
• Lord, let Aglow hasten Your coming by bringing in the nations!
• Lord, let the Joy of Jesus fuel every warrior in Aglow around the world!
• Let Your Kingdom come! Let Your will be done in Aglow on earth!

Pray also for these nations of Europe where Aglow has a presence. Pray for greater influence on earth as it is in Heaven! Pray for new leaders to arise! Pray for younger generations as they respond to the call of God!

A Note and A Prayer

As I was reading over Nancy McDaniel’s post about willfulness, I gulped when I got to the sentence that read, “Have I been more intent on being right than on being righteous?” Have you ever done that? It was almost as though I was eating her words, but that sentence got caught in my throat. I had to stop there and examine my heart because I knew it was true of me. I knew that I had been more intent on being right than on being righteous in a particular relationship. While I was attending Rhema Bible Training Center, the late Kenneth Hagin used to say to us in class, “If you can’t say ‘amen’ say ‘oh me!’

This was an “oh me” moment for sure! But I love the encouragement found in 1 John 1:9 NASB “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” So as I received the cleansing I needed, I could then stand in confidence before His Throne. As we continually posture ourselves to be free from willfulness, may we see the strongholds broken in the countries we represent. And may we see and reflect the atmosphere of Heaven!
