Uganda Transformation Trip – Part 2
Part 1 | Part 2
The Fabulous Aglow Uganda Transformation Team continues to meet in as many places as possible to touch the most people.
This day in Uganda started out at a Church where Steven, a Men of Issachar member, gave the male/female reconciliation message. He had given it the day before at the Aglow training session, and the entire team is amazed at the wisdom and power that comes forth as he speaks.
After the Church service, the team stopped in at school, where hundreds of teens gathered in a large hall. One of the team members gave the Gospel message, and many raised their hands to receive Christ.
Next, the boys were split from the girls, where each gender was given lessons unique to their sex. They both received teaching on hygiene and how sexually transmitted diseases are transmitted. Girls were taught to track their monthly cycle, safety, and the value of saying no. The team ended with a teaching on the value of a woman from God’s point of view.
The men took the boys – there were three times more boys than girls! The team taught them how men honor women and how illicit sex defiles them, as well as the girls. While these subjects are difficult to talk about, they are necessary in a culture where men are taught that having sex with a virgin will cure them from aids. Knowing the truth can bring freedom to all who hear it.
God continues to be faithful to each prayer we speak forth in faith.
