One Big Family

Aglow Armenia

Janae Lovern, International Field Director, recently received a letter from Aglow Germany’s National President, Andrea John, sharing an update with Headquarters during a recent visit that the Germany National Board took to Armenia. Their experience was so moving that, with permission, we now share Andrea’s letter with our Aglow family worldwide:

Dear Janae,

I want to share with all of you at Headquarters that we (Karola, Christina, Elke, Brigitte, and I) on the Germany National Board are visiting Ruth and Ruzanna in Armenia at the moment.

We are experiencing incredible warmth and hospitality here. On Sunday, we visited the refugee families from Artsakh on their new plots of land, purchased mainly from Aglow donations in various countries to give them a new start.

Afterwards, they invited us to a barbecue, where we had deep conversations and were able to pray for some of them. There were tears, laughter, and delicious food- we felt like one big family and spent the whole day together.

Their suffering and loss are indescribable, and the trauma of war is still deeply ingrained in all of them. But, for some, the seeds of a new beginning are already sprouting. We were glad to support them with a love gift from our German Aglow members.

Please pray with us that supernatural healing will take place, that God will drive out the bitterness and sadness, and that trust in Him will be restored in the wonderful Artsakh people.

Much love,
Andrea
