Hartford Outreach
Recently, the Hartford Police Department posted on their Facebook page telling of a visit from the Hartford, AL Aglow Lighthouse.
It was posted, “The ladies brought a delicious cake, took time to pray with us, and offered words of encouragement and support to our officers and staff. We are thankful for organizations and ministries within our community that work to uplift and care for others in so many ways. Their kindness, prayers, and generosity serve as a reminder of the support for our officers and staff. Thank you to Aglow International Hartford for thinking of us and sharing encouragement with those who serve our community each day.”
President of Hartford, Al Lighthouse, LaKisha Grooms said, “It was a real privilege to deliver cakes, cookies, and holiday treats to those in the community dedicated to serving and protecting us. Although we were unable to capture pictures at every location, our time of outreach included visits to the Hartford Police Department, Emergency Services, Fire and Rescue, City of Hartford employees, Magistrate, and our Public Library.”
The team also has plans to deliver treats to other city employees who work faithfully behind the scenes to keep Hartford safe, clean, and functioning smoothly.
Thank you, Hartford, AL, Lighthouse, for loving and caring for your community. What a blessing to speak words of life over those who put their lives in danger daily to serve and protect Hartford. We would love to hear how your Lighthouse is making a difference in your community! Contact KathySanders@aglow.org
