Greater Works!

In her New Year’s message to us, Nancy McDaniel recently shared a video message with the following thoughts.

At times, we’ve said in Aglow that “we build the fire truck on the way to the fire.” When a problem or opportunity arose, we would rush towards it and figure out what to do along the way.

And then somehow, God has always brought it all together. He has been faithful to Aglow in this way just as we have been faithful to show up and to respond to the needs of the world we serve.

Recently, she shared a different picture of how God will lead us in this New Era.

Her words to us are that “We have been given an engine; Now we will build the airplane around it!” Meaning – there’s an upgrade for us. Meaning – we are moving away from reacting to a problem or a need, and we are moving towards Heaven’s higher strategy – Heaven’s Kingdom solutions!

What’s the difference, you might be asking? Very simply, a firetruck suggests sirens and loud noises. It evokes panic as it rushes to the scene of need. Conversely, an airplane is filled with power! Filled with aeronautics, aerodynamics! It rises above the tragedy. It is able to glide to its destination. And Aglow, we have been given the engine! We have been given Holy Spirit and His gifts, His fruit! In Him we live and move and have our being! In this New Era, we have been given an engine. Now, we will build the airplane!

LIGHT THE NATIONS – A Strategic Prayer Initiative

Nancy McDaniel, along with Aglow and more than 30 other collaborators across the world, are stepping into a strategic initiative to bring impact to the region of the world most resistant to the advancement of the gospel. This initiative is similar to Praying Through the 10/40 Window, a prayer movement that began in the 1990’s. The area of focus will be the Greater Middle East, North Africa, and beyond. The dates for this initiative are September 22^nd – October 4^th, 2026.

It is a call for intercessors to go into these nations and pray onsite, as well as to enlist prayer groups all over the world, to cry out to God on behalf of the Great Commission. Of the 37 nations in this prayer focus, Aglow has a presence in 25 of them! That is amazing! While all the needs of each nation remain a critical concern for the Body of Christ, those chosen have been completely unreached with the gospel! While this is still being planned, and Aglow’s portion is still being decided on, we decided to bring attention to this each month leading up to the launch for this, which will be in Galilee, Israel, on September 22, 2026, and it will end with worship and prayer in Cairo, Egypt. The following nations have been compiled as a focus because they have not been touched yet by the gospel. They include:

Afghanistan, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Gaza, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Somalia/Somaliland, Sudan, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, UAE, Uzbekistan, Western, Sahara, Yemen

Let’s begin to pray into this initiative now. Let’s begin to pray into these nations who have never heard the gospel preached to them!

• Lord, we declare Isaiah 55:5 over these nations! We summon these nations! We call them to come running! We declare that the beauty and the splendor of our God will be seen in each nation! And that hearts will turn towards their Lord!
• Lord, we declare the Light of Jesus is shining in these dark places, until the day dawns and the day star arises in every heart!
• We prophesy an awakening to every heart! We prophesy, “Wake up you who sleep, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you!”
• We declare, “The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those people living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned!”
• Lord, You said, You will satisfy the thirsty and fill the hungry with good things!

Global Prayer Points for Israel

Father, we thank You for watching over Israel and we pray these Names of God for the Jewish people:

1. Adonai M’kadishkhem (The Lord Who sets you apart) God gave the people of Israel special instructions for holy living, setting them apart for Himself, and making them different from the surrounding nations.
   Jesus said in John 17: 17-19 Set them apart for holiness by means of the truth – Your Word is truth. Just as You sent Me into the world, I have sent them into the world. On their behalf I am setting Myself apart for holiness, so that they too may be set apart for holiness by means of the truth.”
2. El Gibbor (Mighty God) Joshua 22:22 “The Might One (El Gibbor), God is Adonai!” Father, let Israel say, “He is mighty! He is imposing, awesome, and omnipotent!” Who can compare to our God? He is mightier and more powerful than any army. He commands and it is so!”

Summon the Nations!

Aglow International is called to take the Light of Jesus, bring hope, and build the Kingdom in all communities, cities, and nations. In this New Era, God is using Aglow to help reach the unreached peoples in the nations where the gospel has not been heard!

• “Look! You will summon nations you’ve never heard of! Nations who have never heard of you will come running to follow you because Yahweh, your God, the Holy One of Israel, has glorified you.” Isaiah 55:5 TPT
• “He will lift up a banner to signal the distant nations; He whistles for them to come from the ends of the earth. Look! Here they come, running swiftly and speedily!” Isaiah 5:26 TPT
• “I will whistle for them and gather them in, for I have redeemed them, and they shall be as many as they were before!” Zechariah 10:8 ESV
• Lord, we call the nations into Your Kingdom! We call for you, Central America! We call in Mexico! We all in Panama! We call in South America! Europe, we call you in! We all to you, Aisa! We call to you, Africa! We call to you, South Pacific, come into the Kingdom!
• We call in the 37 nations in the Greater Middle East, North Africa and Beyond!

We are praying for Aglow to be affiliated in every nation of the world! We are very close to reaching that goal. Let’s continue to move forward together, a company of champions and global leaders of significance, to see Every nation touched, every heart changed.

A Note and A Prayer

We’ve all been so blessed to have the teachings of Graham Cooke all these years in Aglow. He has been instrumental in helping us to “get our story straight!” As I was thinking about moving from the place of “building the firetruck on the way to the fire” to “We’ve been given an engine, now let’s build the plane,” I couldn’t help but think about my Game Changer lessons.

I was dealing with several financial situations several months back. When the Lord is trying to teach you something, He makes sure you get the lesson! So, what was happening wasn’t just happening in one area, it was happening in several! And I kept trying to figure it out with my mind. And the more I tried, the more frustrated I became. I was at a wall, and nothing was being resolved.

Finally, my desperation drove me to the conversation I had needed all along. I heard Holy Spirit whisper to me, “You’re looking at the wrong thing.” He has a way of saying something, and adding all the other details by just the way it’s said. I love that about Him! He then gave me a scripture which is now in my arsenal of inheritance scriptures: Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things you do not know.”

The problem was I didn’t know; yet I wasn’t calling out to Him. The situation was there because He was trying to give me another piece of my identity! I wouldn’t have known that if I hadn’t encountered the problem! I had been trying to build the firetruck on the way to the fire. I was rushing to get the fire put out. Trying to quickly resolve the issue while in a state of panic.

But we are living in a New Era! And He wanted me to have the upgrade! He wanted me to build the plane around the engine I had been given. He wanted identity in that place of panic. Fruit in the place of insecurity. Confidence instead of vulnerability. As you learn to do life at a higher level, may you recognize that in this New Era, we don’t react to problems, we move towards heaven’s strategy and Kingdom solutions.

May you also learn to hear the whispers of your Pilot to help redirect your gaze as He helps your rise above the storm.
