eNews – His Mercies Are New Every Morning

I love Lamentations 3:22-23. It says, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning, and great is Your Faithfulness.” That is also one of my most favorite hymns. As we move into a fresh, never before lived in year, many may have sighed with relief to be leaving 2025. I know I did! I believe that in 2026, there will be new opportunities to grow in faith, get another thought, and rejoice because the Faithful One never leaves us or fails us.

We KNOW that No matter what 2026 has in store for us, we can be confident that Jesus has already walked through every single day, faced each challenge that will come our way, and left a path for us to walk through in victory. Does that mean it will always be easy? No. That is why He gave us faith. Our faith is not in situations around us. Our faith is built upon the God who makes His home within us. We know Him, and He knows us.

I want to encourage you to pull away into the Secret Place more this year than last year. Spend more time praying in the Spirit, believing and trusting that Holy Spirit KNOWS how to open and shut doors before you. Trust Him to cover all the things that concern your heart and even more. He is Faithful!

In Bob Sorge’s book, The Secrets of the Secret Place, he said, “Love is the primary staple of the Secret Place….. Start your day with just loving Him…. He will amaze you with the creativity and energy with which He’ll reciprocate His passion for you.” Armed and filled with His Love, you will see those around you with a new perspective. Your actions will be wrapped in the tender love of the Father for mankind, and many will be drawn to you this year because His Love makes you a safe place.

As you lead or attend an Aglow gathering, that time spent in the Secret Place will cause the Aglow meeting to become a safe place, too. His unfailing love flowing through you will cover a multitude of sins as new folks come. It will heal their brokenness and restore places they long thought were lost forever. He has set your group in your community for this time in history to be His hands and feet to bring His Presence to those who have been ‘far off.’ Spending more time in the Secret Place is a key weapon for you. His fame will spread to new communities as those recently healed say, “Come see a Man who resides in this group of people I met.” It just could be that God’s Love flowing out through you – through your group – turns the world upside down! Not with anything divisive or disturbing, but with His steadfast love!
