Dutch told us, “Do not shy away from anything that He wants you to do. As long as you do it, as long as you agree to do that and obey Him, He will pay for it.”
We do embrace who He has made us to be! Together, we CAN do this. We WILL do this.
Pray and ask God how He wants you to give into this “Glory Rising” equipping offering. I know there is a part for each of us to play. Ask Him and do as He tells you.
This is an Esther moment that Aglow must step fully into. We stand with the nation of Israel and with the Jewish people.
I love how God’s plans and purposes for His people build line upon line, precept upon precept. He remains steadfast throughout the years causing each succeeding generation to receive the baton from the previous generation so they can run with excellence the race set before them.
As many of you are aware, we recently returned from St. Louis, MO, where the Aglow family came together to worship the Lord and to lean in to hear what He is saying in this hour. It was a powerful time in the Presence of God! The Sheets brothers, Tim and Dutch, did not disappoint as they delivered powerful words of truth and spoke with apostolic authority giving clear understanding of how the Body of Christ is partnering with God in this hour. It is the right time to stand in faith believing in all the proven truths that we know about who God is and who He is through His body in the earth. We are those people!
As the news of the death of Queen Elizabeth II, at 96, reverberated around the world, a great and effectual door opened to a new era. For 70 years she remained faithful to the proclamation spoken at the young age of 21, “I declare before you that my whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be devoted to your service…” She was steadfast and unwavering in her duty to God and those she led.
As we survey world news, we see other signs of change. We welcome the new Prime Ministers, of Great Britain, Elizabeth Truss, and in Italy, Giorgia Meloni. Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “To everything there is a season….” Change is a constant. As leaders come and go, our responsibility is to pray for each to have an ear to hear what the Spirit is saying and to obey it.
I love to include hymns in my worship time. One that crosses my lips frequently is On Christ the Solid Rock I Stand. Could we take a moment now and lift these words as a decree of our trust in Him?
My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus’ Name.On Christ, the Solid Rock, I stand; all other ground is sinking sand,
all other ground is sinking sand.In every rough and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the vale.
When all around my soul gives way, He then is all my hope and stay.On Christ, the Solid Rock, I stand; all other ground is sinking sand,
all other ground is sinking sand.
What a powerful declaration of Jesus, our Rock!
Are you enjoying the summer? Summers are my favorite time in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. The days are long. The skies are blue. The flowers are in full bloom. There is very little rain and I love the sounds of families outside enjoying their time together.
Before I begin, I want to personally thank each of you who gave into the matching funds opportunity this summer. We received over $25,000 in gifts and our generous donor gave the matching $25,000. Thank you for helping us to double your gifts! God is so faithful!
What a profound year 2022 is unfolding to be! After being in various stages of lockdown the past two years, it is good to be FREE from the restrictions! I think of 2 Corinthians 3:17, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” Locked down or not, we can be free because real freedom comes from the Lord.
I am often asked, “Jane, what are you sensing?” I am sensing that in all things, we must remain in a place of total peace while God leads us in every detail. “Well, Jane, how do we do that?” We do it the same way we have done for the last 55 years; we follow the lead of Holy Spirit. When we are not sure where things are headed or how to prepare, we have a Divine Advantage in Holy Spirit. He knows it all!
At times like this, I often think of Abraham who was told by God to go to a place he did not know. Can’t you hear Sarah? “Should I pack summer or winter clothes? How long will we be gone? Will we need a picnic lunch? Are we taking the animals or do I have to walk?” I can imagine the peace it brought as Abraham answered back, “Just pack Sarah. God will supply.”
At the beginning of the year, I always desire to have a fresh word from the Lord to hear what He is saying and where we are going. It was interesting that I tuned into a Christian television program last night. As I listened to the speaker, I found what he was saying to be very thought provoking – we are in God’s waiting room.
We are all aware of the spiritual battle raging over the nations of the world - look at Afghanistan! The news and pictures sicken us, especially as we consider and pray for the vibrant underground church that is growing rapidly there.
The ancient question remains, Who is going to rule? God or the devil? Our answer is God!
Recently I spoke at the South Central, USA Regional Aglow event in Austin, TX. At the event, the Regional Director, Carol Torrance, showed a teaching from Tim Sheets, brother of Dutch Sheets, entitled Overthrowing Thrones of Iniquity.
