In 2011 we were in Houston, TX for our International Conference. That year was the only year we did not release the 3 sessions taught by Graham Cooke in the Leader’s Training Sessions. While the transcripts have been up on the Aglow website for years, along with several other breakout pieces, soon, we will have each session available for digital download on the Aglow store. In the early days of Aglow’s ministry, an Aglow woman named Julie Wayner wrote and published her story in a small book called, “His Gentle Voice.” Near the end of this story, Julie shares how she came to Aglow (then called “Women’s Aglow Fellowship) and stepped into the role as Bible Study Chairman.
After many wonderful years of serving the Lord Jesus in Aglow, on July 1, 2024 Carolyn Jones-van Heezik handed over her baton to her assistant Sharmila Geldermans.
Aglow Commissioning for the Next 50 Years
At Aglow’s 50th Anniversary Celebration in Richmond, VA, USA, a special moment occurred at the end of Dutch Sheets’ Saturday evening message. It was a time of commissioning Aglow for the next 50 years. Dutch began with the prayer for this once-in-a-lifetime event and then he called Dan Hammer, Senior Apostolic Leader at Sonrise Christian Center, Everett, WA, to participate in the commissioning.
