Our vision statement is both bold and broad. It is a statement that encompasses everything we do and leaves expansion for our future. Vision is not about direction. It is about the height we wish to achieve.
What is Aglow’s vision?
Our Vision Statement
To propel the Kingdom forward through the elevation of the knowledge of God.
We carry out our Vision Statement by fulfilling our Mission Statement.
Our Mission Statement
The Kingdom of God is the realization of the love, grace, power, and rule of God on earth.
Aglow International is a Kingdom Movement committed to:
- Living from the Presence of God, creating the same atmosphere on earth as it is in Heaven.
- Assembling millions into a company of warriors, champions, and global leaders of significance equipped with a Biblical worldview.
- Building the Kingdom in all communities, cities and nations by developing apostolic teams that demonstrate the power of Heaven.
What is Aglow's Identity Statement
Aglow is an international organization of women and men in more than 170 nations of the world, presenting Biblical principles as solutions to the challenging issues of our time.
What is Aglow's Goal?
Every nation touched, every heart changed.
Why does Aglow allow men?
While it is true that Aglow began in 1967 exclusively as a ministry for women, a shift began in 1980 when Jane Hansen Hoyt became President. As an Apostle for an end time generation, Jane brings a message first mentioned in Genesis 1:26-28 where God created a partnership for all time between the male and the female. It was only natural that God would join the genders in a way that displays His original intentions for mankind.
How does Aglow incorporate prayer?
Considering the escalation of world crises, Aglow believes God has called us to be a “Global House of Prayer” in the nations of the world. We believe it is part of our Kingdom call to lift up our families, our communities, and all nations. Aglow women and men pray in small groups and in large national and international gatherings. We are intentionally beginning prayer groups in the capital cities of every nation for the purpose of seeing God’s will done in that nation as it is declared from Heaven.
Why does Aglow care about Israel?
In 2001 Jane Hansen Hoyt was singled out for prayer in a public meeting in Florida. It was during this time of prayer that God imparted a mandate for Aglow that would cause us to build relationship with our fellow brothers and sisters in Israel. Beginning in 2000, Aglow men and women have made annual pilgrimages into Israel that are both educational and inspirational.
Why does Aglow care about Muslims?
Muslims make up one-fifth of the population of the world. These followers of the Islamic religion have never known the love of God. Aglow recognizes that without Christ, they have no hope, no forgiveness of sin, and no real assurance of salvation and eternal life. Aglow has been called to expose the Islamic system, bringing awareness to the body of Christ, while loving the Muslim people by reaching out to them in love with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Aglow recently celebrated 50 years of ministry. What's ahead for the new era?
For years, Aglow women overseas have been actively involved in works of compassion, empowerment, and training as part of their evangelistic efforts, specifically in refugee camps and war-torn nations. Today, men have joined them in transporting building supplies and food into nations that have suffered catastrophic events. In every nation Aglow is actively preparing people groups who will stand on Biblical principles, bringing freedom and empowerment to those in captivity. We are raising up people who will know who God is and know who God is for them personally. We are equipping people through a personal development program called 21st Century GameChangers that is designed to help them know themselves as they are known in Heaven, live from the Fruit of the Spirit, and bring these same truths to those in their sphere of influence. We are a group of champions and warriors who are changing the world!
