Protection: Father, I pray the precious blood of Jesus over our President, his family, and his staff. May Your angels watch over them and keep them in all their ways today. (Psalm 91:11)
May the Angel of the Lord encamp around the President and deliver him from every evil. May You deliver him from all his fears and save him out of all his troubles. (Psalm 34:7, 4 & 6)
I declare that no weapon formed against the President shall prosper, and every tongue that rises up against him in judgment he shall condemn. (Isaiah 54:17)
I pray that You would hide him from the secret plots “from the rebellion of the workers of iniquity, who sharpen their tongue like a sword.” (Psalm 64:2) Lord, close the mouths of those who would shoot out bitter words and cause them to stumble over their own tongue. (verse 3) Blessed be the Lord Who has enabled him to escape as a bird from the fowler’s snare. (Psalm 124:6-7)
Keep him from the snares the enemy has laid for him. Protect him from those who seek to destroy him. Give him Your way of escape. (Psalm 141:9-10)
Bless the President, Lord, and surround him with Your shield of favor and mercy. (Psalm 5:12 & 32:10)
Wisdom: Father, may the President be given wisdom liberally from above to make the decisions that he needs to make today. (James 1:5)
Each morning, awaken his ear to hear as the learned (Isaiah 50:4), and quicken his heart to be willing and wise to do the work that You have given him to do. (Exodus 35:5 & 36:2)
May he “be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,” (Colossians 1:9) and may the eyes of his understanding be enlightened with Your truth. (Ephesians 1:18)
Your Word says that “he who rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.” (2 Samuel 23:3) I pray that the President would rule in the fear of God rather than men. Free him from the influence of falsehood, deception and the influence of ungodly council. Fill his mind, will, and emotions with truth and the will and purposes of God. Free him from the passions of the flesh and worldly thinking and conform him to the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:16)
Thank You for giving him discernment to know Your voice so he will not follow the voice of a stranger. (John 10:4-5)
I pray that You would empower him with all wisdom and knowledge so that he will be able to excel in all his accomplishments (Ephesians 3:20) to uphold righteousness, truth, and justice across this land. (Isaiah 28:17)
