As the International Board of Directors met together in Richmond, I made this statement, “We are living in a culminating time.” We have continued to watch world affairs unfold since then, and we can easily discern that this is a time when there is a combination of many prophetic events converging that surround our inheritance, our destiny, and the soon return of Christ.
In this new place, many of the things that were familiar to us are gone and the new place has come with a lack of familiarity. It is much like stepping into a new location, a new home, or a life change that shifts the “known” into the unknown. It requires new eyes, new movements, and new perspectives.
In this new place, we find ourselves feeling after God to find the way. Even familiar times of prayer, reading the Word, worship have gone to a new place filled with seeking, expectancy and promise.
A New Place
We are in a new place in Aglow. God has re-mantled us, recommissioned us, and has sent us out to fulfill His great commission. I believe that we only have a short window of opportunity to prepare our people - to make them ready for the future.
And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous—to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. Luke 1:17 NIV
A New Time of Provision
Aglow has been positioned both spiritually and geographically in the world for an end time work. This positioning requires more funds now than in the previous 50 years. It is a time when Aglow must move into an ongoing, unhindered flow of provision where there is no shortage or lack.
As you plan your end of the year giving, I ask you to consider what your part is in helping to provide this flow of provision. As we each pick up our portion, the storehouse will begin to fill.
This summer, I received a note from Mary Gould, a long time Aglow woman who began her journey in Aglow in the 1970’s in Colorado. No matter where her husband was transferred, she made an Aglow connection. Where she currently lives in Florida, there is no close group to attend. However, what she said next touched my heart deeply:
I will continue to be faithful in my giving into this organization till I go home to be with the Lord because of how God has met me and my family ever since I got involved with Aglow.
Attached to her note was a check covering six months of her A-Company pledge.
Consider the ways the Lord has touched you and your family through the years, and this year specifically allow your year-end gift to reflect His Goodness toward you.
