It has been a year since God spoke profoundly to us during the 2017 Global Conference in Richmond, Virginia. When His prophetic words regarding a re-mantling and a re-commissioning of Aglow were being spoken forth, I was overwhelmed by His mighty intentions and could only say, “This is big!” And now, we find ourselves having walked through this year of transition, looking at everything carefully to see what we carry forth into the new place and what we leave behind.

Isaiah 6

In the same year that King Uzziah died, Isaiah saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted. King Uzziah’s death represented the end of what was familiar. In the newness that would come forth, the angels cried out, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of His Glory.” And hearing and seeing, Isaiah cried out, “I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of unclean lips.”

We know the story, it is familiar to us, yet, familiarity can lull us to sleep and cause us to be dull in both hearing and seeing. Isaiah heard the Lord asking, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And he responded, “Here am I. Send me!” And Isaiah was given a message for the people:

Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving. Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes. OTHERWISE, they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.

Aglow: Born of the Spirit and Led by the Spirit

We are a people who hear, who see and who understand Spirit things. This is why we must turn our attention towards what was spoken to us by the Spirit in Richmond so that we are positioned rightly as we prepare to meet our Bridegroom in Spokane.

Last week I had the thought to extend our fast through the end of conference in Spokane. Knowing that the new Hebrew year, 5779, is the year of birthing what has been poured into us, we must prepare ourselves to meet our Bridegroom, much like young Esther prepared herself to meet the king.

At Aglow Headquarters, we have set aside time for daily worship and prayer. Beginning this week, we are committing to watching the sessions from Richmond to see and hear again all that God said and did as we complete one phase of our race and begin another.

Before the start of this year's conference, I want to encourage you to set aside time between now and November 1st to participate in this corporate call to prepare. No matter where you are in the world, I urge you to watch again. Hear and see and understand what God is speaking over us throughout the nations. He has positioned us spiritually and geographically as a giant-killing company of believers. He has placed His scepter in our hands.

For those of you who do not have access to the messages from Richmond, you can purchase each one individually through the Aglow store. 2017 Conference Videos
