After a recent visit to the prison with her team, Linda, Central California Prison Ministry Field Coordinator, writes, "About 40 faithful ladies showed up to hear the Word, and praise and worship God. We sang three Christmas songs and a worship song. Eva spoke an uplifting, encouraging word to the ladies. She also encouraged them to share their faith with others. I shared a quick word about the uniqueness that God gave them including their DNA, fingerprints, footprints and even their voiceprints. I also encouraged them to consider giving up to the Lord "those things that easily beset us" before the New Year, and to begin 2014 with one less bad habit, anger, un-forgiveness, etc."
“One of the team members, whose daughter was murdered, asked to share about letting go. She spoke about giving it all to God. Her daughter, who was 4 months pregnant, was beaten to death and the baby died, too. The girl had called her mother, in September to tell her that she was getting married to the young man who killed her. She was only 24 years old.”
“This woman is truly undergirded by your prayers. She does not have any anger, hate or malice toward the man. She is only praying for his salvation. She has truly died to self in many ways and is transparent. There is only more Christ in her. She shared with the ladies and then prayed for them. It was awesome, and the ladies were touched by the power of God. Then we prayed for and anointed each lady. God is so good! God has great plans for the Aglow Prison Ministry in 2014. He will show He is Lord in the prisons, and Aglow will show the Glory of the Lord!”
Ten Thousand Wings
Ten thousand wings this journey brings
As fairies fly above
I heard the voice of an angel sigh
In a field of fallen doves
And gazed into the eyes of dusk
On the banks of a golden stream
Twas a twilight glimpse of molten stars
On earthly moonlit beams
