Because of the high incidence of human trafficking during Super Bowl events, Darlene Jenks, President, Central AZ Area Aglow, organized an Anti-Human Trafficking Prayer Walk in preparation for the 2015 Super Bowl.
Darlene writes, Much territory was taken, many lives were claimed for the Lord, and ground was softened, as over 60 Aglow men and women met for the Anti-Human Trafficking Prayer Walk around the University of Phoenix Stadium proclaiming victory for the captives. Our God provided a glorious day with beautiful weather. One walker stated, ‘All could sense the unity of the Body of Christ as the love of Father flowed like a river.’
The day began with the Central Arizona Area Aglow Team entering the stadium at 7am and prayer walking around the upper walkway of the entire venue. With anointed, outstretched hands they prayed over the seats and walkways proclaiming victory to the captives according to Isaiah 61:1-3.
Afterward, the Central Arizona team met up with the rest of the group at a church for a time of blowing of the shofars, worship with the Soaring Eagles Dancers, dancing, and praising God. Debby Brawner, AZ Aglow Prayer Coordinator led in prayer. In all there were approximately 85 Aglow people including other ministries in attendance. Some of the people stayed at the church to continue praying and worshipping led by the dancers.
The walkers then went to a cross at the entrance of the church grounds. Again the sound of shofars began the walk, as well as blue billows depicting heaven and the Holy Spirit’s presence with us. Billows were lifted by a Rabbi and another person. One of the walkers reported, “The Holy Spirit highlighted so many different things as we walked, directing and energizing our prayers of warfare and declarations.”
After the walk, some of the people departed rejoicing and others rejoiced together in the church over the victories won. The Soaring Eagles Dancers led in victory songs. All sang praises to God, thanking our Father for all that was accomplished, and for the privilege of being a part of bringing heaven to earth.
On the day of the prayer walk, people from all over the state of Arizona who could not be present were also praying for the rescuing of all who are trapped in human trafficking.
Darlene concluded her report by saying, Our prayers will continue until God’s Kingdom has total victory.
In a post-event update after the Super Bowl Darlene wrote, All praise and glory be to God our Father for His faithfulness throughout our special time of praying for anti-human trafficking for months leading up to the Super Bowl. God gave favor that to all of the people involved in praying for the captives to be set free. Much territory was claimed for the Lord and the ground was truly softened as we walked the University of Phoenix Stadium venue.
The Central AZ Area Aglow Team knows that the fight is not over. Our prayers will continue until we are released by God. We praise Him, bless Him and worship Him for allowing us to be a part of this very huge, awesome calling.
It has been reported nearly 600 arrests were made in a Super Bowl sex trafficking sting. Read the article. I have not heard the number of girls and boys rescued, but we know there were many. Again all praise and glory be to God.
