Motivated by a desire to serve the Lord with all diligence and celebrate the Nativity with people in their rural areas, Aglow Venezuela groups in Barinas, Barquisimeto, Maracaibo, and Valencia, did a variety of Christmas outreaches in their regions.
In October Aglow Valencia began collecting donations of clothing and shoes, for men, women and children. Through a television program they collected more than 400 toys. By Christmas, Aglow Valencia had received enough donations to distribute gifts to 600 children and their parents.
Aglow Barquisimeto did a Christmas program for 51 children in a community made up mostly of people with economic problems and substance abuse.
Aglow Barinas extended their loving arms to children in a hospital, offering the message of salvation with toys and snacks.
Backed by other groups in Maracaibo, the Impact Singles group brought Christmas cheer to children and their mothers in a hospital ward for cancer patients.
Aglow Venezuela writes, “We are grateful to the Lord for the abundant supply He provided to bless Venezuelan children this Christmas even in the midst of difficult economic times. We have received many beautiful testimonies from the outreaches. Everything from His bountiful hand is multiplied when we share with the needy. As Psalm 112: 9 says, ‘They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor, their righteousness endures forever; their horn will be lifted high in honor.’”
