Rose Bowl Parade Transformation Outreach TeamOn New Year’s Day a team of 16 men and women ministered on the streets of Pasadena, California for the 2017 Aglow Transformation Rose Parade Outreach.

The team leader sent this report:

What an amazing beginning to 2017. My team consisted of 16, three generations working together to share Jesus with the thousands of people on the parade route.

Here are some stories:

Bette: I headed out to tell people how much Jesus loved them. A dad let me share the Gospel with his three daughters. With dad listening, all three received Jesus. Next, Sarah, a mother who knew Jesus, let me share the Candy Cane story (Gospel) with her son, niece and nephew. I said a prayer and mom prayed out loud with the children who all received Jesus. We did a lot of group sharing and 13 plus people heard the Gospel. Smaller groups also heard the message. As we talked with another group, a girl said; “I know the Candy Cane story - You led me to Jesus last year. God is faithful and Jesus remains alive in people throughout the outreach.

Dianah: The Holy Spirit was with me as I talked to a group of 8 and they repeated the prayer of salvation. 8 new souls were born into the Kingdom.

Thelma: We prayed for and ministered to a group of young people. We handed out a large number of tracts that were designed by Pasadena Aglow Advisor, Pastor Lynn Schubert, who was with us.

Walter: I had a good time singing and playing my guitar as I walked the parade route making a joyful noise.

Chris: It was great sharing my testimony and learning how to share the Gospel using the Candy Cane story to open up conversation.

Swanny and Caroline: We talked with some people and gave out a lot of tracts.

Barbara: The Holy Spirit had me focus on the homeless that were also on the parade route. A lady named Brenda was walking with her cart, so I stopped her and said to her," Do you know that Jesus loves you? I hugged her and she said she felt the love.

I asked another homeless man named Frank what he needed. He wanted water. So I went Into the store and purchased some water, bananas and crackers with meat for him to eat.

Our young men, Chris, Walter, Zak, and Zee slept on the street to secure our spots for the Parade the next day. A wonderful and fruitful time.
