In May the Aglow Matteson IL (Single Moms) Generations Group held their yearly Appreciation Fashion Show and Luncheon for Single Moms.
Louise Dawkins, one of the group leaders writes, “It’s really important that our moms feel loved and appreciated. Each year we have an Appreciation Fashion Show and Luncheon at the local Holiday Inn. The local Dress Barn provided the women’s fashions, Bachrach provided the men’s clothing and the male models, and the photographer and person that played the background music both donated their time to us.”
“Each mom receives a gift, a special corsage and lunch at no charge. We usually have a young lady give an inspirational message, and one year we had a young man sing two special songs for the moms.”
“The moms really feel extra special at these events, and they are usually smiling during the entire day.”
