During the first week of April, 2019, a team of women from Aglow Britain, led by Helen Hunter, visited the Eastern European nation of Belarus. Helen serves on the Aglow Britain National Board as the National VP for Eastern Europe, and Aglow Britain has been providing oversight and support to a number of Eastern nations for many years.
During their 10 days in Belarus they visited a number of cities, spoke in several churches, and led many Aglow meetings for groups of very interested women and men who all were touched by the loving ministry the British team brought. Lives were changed by the love of Jesus, and ministry continues through the growing work of Aglow in Belarus.
In the city of Mogilev a thriving Aglow outreach is changing lives. Victoria, who is one of the Aglow women’s leaders, is very active in children’s and teenager’s work. She and Tatiana, the Mogilev Aglow Regional leader, shared with Helen and the team how God is blessing the work, and they are seeing teens come to salvation. Teens from the orphanage are coming into church, are being part of the activities, and they are growing in God. This is as a result of faithful visits and relationship building by the Aglow women over the years.
Some of these teens are now part of a newly formed youth worship band who lead the worship in church once a month at the Church service. Also, one of the Aglow ladies started feeding children from her block of flats. Now it has developed into outreach to the parents too! Aglow helps to fund this amazing work.
