Nepal, a country located in South Central Asia, has a varied and rich geography that includes the Tarai Region of flat, fertile land that provides the country’s crops, the Hill Region, a more hilly, mountainous region and finally the Himalayan Region, home to the Himalayan Mountains, that contains the world’s largest peak – Mt. Everest. Even though Nepal is land locked from any significant bodies of water it has several rivers running from its mountains that feed the water system of the country.
The Aglow National President, writes, “Here in Nepal, COVID Omicron is spreading like fire – all the church services are on hold, with no gathering of people in one place, especially in religious places. The government has restricted such meetings.”
Yet – God is always faithful; His rivers of living water are running through Nepal and it is fertile and ripe for the harvest. He is on the scene in many ways and especially through the Aglow ministry. Groups are meeting on line continually, there was a year-end retreat in December for the leaders.
She continues, “We had a time of thanksgiving, group sessions, waiting and listening time, and planning for the future. The leaders came away with fresh inspiration. I was so encouraged and blessed that each team leader from the group sessions came up to present their group work and was so impressed with these sisters. Our God has been faithful to them.”
Travel and visiting places for new Aglow groups has been placed on hold due to the country’s restrictions. Thank you so much for your prayers for Nepal!
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9
