Cameroon is a nation with a rich tapestry of varied cultures also described as ‘Africa in miniature’ due to the wide range of different landscapes, languages and ethnicities has been beset with two violent conflicts. Looking on the outside you see a nation filled with this turmoil and chaos. Yet! God is on the scene through the ministry of Aglow. Recently, we received a report from Mary Solomon our National Aglow leader in Cameroon.
Through and by the strength and protection of God, Mary and those working alongside have been very active in the ministry of Aglow to bless, bring hope, and encouragement. With God’s help, Aglow has continued to reach out by evangelizing, Bible studies, sharing of helps and the love of God to the communities of Cameroon, even in the midst of desperate times, such as the people of Cameroon are now facing. God is always faithful!
Keep our Cameroon Aglow family in your prayers as the six active Aglow groups continue to reach out to their communities. And, pray for the nation of Cameroon. Due to the lock down caused by the civil war since October of 2017, schools, homes, villages and businesses have either been burnt down or closed causing economic hardships, with thousands of people displaced. We grieve for the loss of lives, property, homes and even churches. And even the loss of a way of life that was very different before the years of the civil war. They need God’s intervention and He surely will hear the prayers of these precious people and nation.
Mary and our Aglow family are proving that Cameroon is not without hope! We all are standing with our sisters and brothers in the ministry of Aglow in Cameroon trusting God to bless, protect and lead them.
