The Aglow groups in the capital city of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, a land-locked nation in western Africa, hold an evangelistic meeting with a snack at the beginning of each month. In February 2020, they held the meeting as usual and 11 women gave their lives to the Lord. Then COVID-19 hit and restricted all activities to home confinement. But the Aglow National leaders would not be deterred. They created a platform on WhatsApp to intercede together every Thursday.
All chapters were also organized using the WhatsApp platform to pray together. This has allowed many of them to improve their technological skills by making the most of new online platforms. Communication by phone is done with chapters in the provinces where the internet connection is unreliable.
Despite the COVID-19 restrictions, they did not stop the individual evangelism efforts and in the next few months 14 people converted and many heard the good news of Jesus Christ.
Aglow meetings in Burkina Faso are now starting to meet again in accordance with restriction measures.
