Aglow Cameroon recently celebrated its 16th Aglow National Conference from May 30- June 1, 2019. Here is their story:
The theme of the three day event was ’At a time like this’ TRUST IN GOD’’. Even with great instability in the country, nine out of the expected 15 Aglow groups were present. The National President, Mrs. Dioh, heartily welcomed all those present with the traditional 'BE AGLOW' greeting. Our Anthem was sung and she thanked God for the massive attendance of members, just six months after the last convocation. The different secretaries and coordinators gave their reports and we were happy to record the progress Aglow Cameroon was making.
We were elated with the attendance of the Bamenda and Limbe groups coming from the most dangerous areas in Anglophone Cameroon where there is war. Gift bags of rice, soap, and cash were contributed for refugees in their area and these gifts were handed over to them.
We planned for the 2020 National togethering, and made new resolutions. After wonderful moments of receiving from God and prayers, we closed on the 1st of June at 5pm. We are looking forward to our next convocation.
What a testimony of the steadfast trust of Aglow women in the midst of warring factions in their nation. Aglow, we have been Called for such a time as this! We stand with our sisters and declare, Be Aglow and Trust in God!
