Druci Allen, Administrative Assistant, Field Specialist - U.S.

Rick and I are both on staff at Aglow Headquarters. Rick started working here in 2009 in the Creative Services Department and I was hired in 2013 as the front desk receptionist.

When Rick and I were first married we served a 2-year missions assignment in Brussels, Belgium with the International Correspondence Institute where we had our first baby, who we named Nicole (our Brussels Sprout!). Following the assignment, we moved back home to Washington State where I gave birth to our second daughter, Janea and son, Madison. We wanted our kids to experience the Presence of God at a young age and the Lord gave us the privilege of starting a ministry at our church, doing discipleship and outreaches with families for 15 years. We used YWAM Kings Kids resources and were able to take teams on outreach within the US and outside of the U.S with a focus on Central Asia for several years.

I had been an “at home mom” while raising our three kids. After the last one graduated Rick and I started praying about what the Lord would have for our next season. God answered by miraculously opening a door for me here at Aglow as the receptionist that later transitioned to my current role of Field Assistant in the U.S. Department where I keep the data current for our Lighthouses and U.S. Area Teams.

I wanted to share this with you is because it’s so amazing to look back and see the intentionality of God. He has weaved a beautiful tapestry in our lives. Each step of our lives has been preparation for the next step. We learned to love the nations, to work with interdenominational ministries, to hear God’s voice, to follow the Spirit’s leading, to trust God for seemingly impossible provision, to do creative intercession and to pray for the nations. It was a perfect foundation for working here at Aglow. We have the same heart!

In the nearly 8 years that I have worked here all three of our children have married and we now have seven grandchildren under the age of five! Both Rick and I have experienced the physical loss of our mothers, our youngest sisters, Rick’s dad, and there have been miscarriages but our family here at Aglow has grieved with us and rejoiced with us through it all. I have loved the depth of sharing, praying, and waiting on the Lord that we experience together with Jane in our staff meetings. I have appreciated the teachings, the emphasis on the Presence of God and learning to go deeper with Him. I’ve loved hearing the Aglow stories of years past and most importantly, I’m so thankful to be part of this team of dedicated people that are following the Spirit’s lead in this time in history. It’s been a privilege!
