We want to introduce you to Janae Lovern who has worked at Aglow Headquarters since June 2016. Janae has lived in the Edmonds area most of her life having been raised and attending high school only minutes from the Aglow headquarters.
Janae said, “Although I didn’t know about Aglow until later in my adult life, my Grandmother, Carolyn Lovern was part of Aglow for years, joining in the 1970s. My Grandmother became a fundamental part of my Mom’s (her daughter in law) learning about Jesus.
I was raised in a blended family growing up with four wonderful parents (two households). I am the second oldest of 8 children (between the two homes). I am a single mother to a wonderful pre-teen aged daughter, Emma, who is an absolute joy. It is an amazing thing to see the Lord working in 4 generations of my family through Aglow.
Prior to working at Aglow I attended a local University achieving my BA in Pastoral Ministries with a double major in Biblical Studies, as well as, my Master’s degree in Theology. Having experienced a “wilderness” season in my early 20s, I rededicated my life to the Lord in 2008. Since then I felt called to learn as much as I could in order to step into a calling on my life I received from the Lord as a teenager, to show people Christ.
In Aglow I work as a Director of Conference in Hotel and Convention Services, as well as, helping in other departments such as Fund Development and IT. Looking to the future, I have been attending Paralegal classes so that I am equipped to help with legal matters at Headquarters.
In my free time, I love to spend time with my daughter going to the zoo, playing with our kitten we adopted about 8 months ago, going for walks, reading, and working on a Christian fiction book I am writing. Writing is a passion and I’ve recently begun a blog online.”
Janae is a bubbly, smart, very capable young woman filled with creative ideas who brings great joy to each of us. She does her work with excellence and is willing to jump in and help where needed.
