In a recent phone conversation with Lora Blair of Danville, VA, she reported that the park visits to watch the young people play basketball continue 5 years later. Lora said that the first Tuesday of every month, the Aglow ladies head to the park to watch the mostly teens play basketball. Aglow provides the snacks. Now some of the young people even come to the Aglow meetings. The Aglow women provide something special each Christmas. They fill bags with things that they know the teens wouldn’t get otherwise, practical things that can make a big difference.
