On Saturday April 13, intercessors gathered at their state capitols to make a stand that many agendas being pushed in public schools and on college campuses are counter culture to Biblical values. Believing that parents are to train up their children in the ways of the Lord, parents, teachers, friends, and grandparents gathered to make a strong stand in the Spirit for the coming generations.
Proverbs 22:6 says “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” The Living Bible translation says it like this, “Teach a child to choose a right path and when he is older, he will remain upon it.” The Message Bible translation says, “Point your kids in the right direction – when they are old they won’t be lost.”
Ephesians 6:4 reads, “And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath; but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” In the Message Bible it reads, “Fathers, don't exasperate your children by coming down hard on them. Take them by the hand and lead them in the way of the Master.”
One of the ways to take our children by the hand and lead them in the way of the Master is by allowing your children and grandchildren to see you making a stand for Godly principles in a public arena. Several Aglow leaders joined others in Austin, TX to repent, and call for Heaven to intervene by removing harmful agendas from our schools.
Let your voice continue to be heard by attending school board meetings. Be involved in what books the schools are giving to your kids. Be a proactive parent and grandparent who refuses to allow the school systems to fill the heads of rising generations with anti-Biblical values. We must take our kids by the hand, point them in the right direction by leading them in the way of the Father. Father really does know best!
