We Were Born for Such a Time as This!
Here is an excerpt from a recent blog from Jane Hansen Hoyt, The Halls of Kingdom Legislation.
For those of you who have been in Aglow for any length of time, you have heard me speak or write many times, always repeating the prophetic words spoken over the ministry by key leaders in the body of Christ. Why are our prophetic words so important? For one, they tell us how God sees us every time He looks at us. He KNOWS who He birthed us to be in 1967. We have been discovering our identity for 57 years and I believe Aglow . . . We are moving outside the walls of our gathering places and into the halls of Kingdom legislation. Strong in prayer; mighty in decrees; Aglow groups around the world are equipped to stand on the walls of their nations speaking the words God gives them for the nations. I believe that as we/they speak, giants are falling! Atmospheres are changing! Heaven is coming to earth to replace the stale, empty, failing ways of man. Does Aglow have a future? You better believe it. I do! We were born for such a time as this. We have been trained for such a time as this.
- Lord, You have said to Aglow International, “You have come to the kingdom for such a time as this.” We embrace this as we stand strong in our nations in prayer expressing Your Kingdom in the earth.
- We stand in awe of all You have done throughout the nations. We eagerly lean into You for all you will do as we continue to pursue Your calling upon Aglow International

Prophetic Declarations
From the moment they are spoken, prophetic words belong to us and must become as real in our hearts as they are in the heart of God. As the prophetic word is spoken, see God standing in the future, speaking back to you in the present. He is telling you who you are becoming. Be encouraged!
From Chuck Pierce at the New Day 2024 Aglow International Conference in Dallas:
The Lord said, “I'm giving you abundant grace this year to address the high places that have ruled you in the past, and ruled your family in the past, and ruled your bloodlines in the past, and ruled your states and ruled Your nations. . . . I'm loosing an abundant grace. I'm bringing a new anointing. You've decreed a new day, and I'm going to make sure you get into a new day.
Because I'm going to stir up that anointing that's in you, and I'm going to pour Grace down on you, and then I'm going to give you your new assignment. . . .” The Lord said, “I have need of you. This ministry has developed a troop I need. . . . It's the year for Goliath to be dethroned. It's a year that I'm going to take My people sovereignly on their path, and I'm going to position them in a moment in time, and they're going to recognize they're in their moment.” You have lots in you. The Lord has need of it, and He’s going to position you to do something.
- Lord, dethrone the “Goliaths” in our lives, in our families, in our nations.
- Position us in Your anointing for all You have planned in our lives and in Aglow worldwide.
Surrounding the Nations in Prayer
Pray for Israel
Continue to pray for the crisis in Israel. Decisions to navigate these difficult times require wisdom that must come from God.
- Lord, bring healing to Israel. Heal the people and heal the land. Bring comfort to those who are suffering loss, and healing to the injured. Bring peace in the hearts of so many who have suffered trauma. You, oh Lord, are the Healer.
- Pray for justice for Israel. He uncovers deep things out of darkness and brings the shadow of death to light (Job 12:22). It is a joy for the just to do justice, but destruction will come to the workers of iniquity (Proverbs 21:15).
- Pray the forces of evil against Israel are dismantled - both spiritual forces and enemies of Israel. Lord, send myriads of angelic warriors to protect and defend Israel.
- People in Israel have felt isolated and even betrayed since October 7. Pray they are comforted in the Presence of God. Pray the Body of Yeshua worldwide expresses love that can be felt by those in Israel.
- Pray for the followers of Jesus including both Jews and Arabs who are living in Israel. Pray they are strengthened by the power of Holy Spirit to demonstrate the Presence of God in Israel.
Syria
The fall of the Assad Dynasty in Syria has brought grave concerns for the Syrian people, Israel, and for the Middle East region of the world.
- Pray for Christians and Kurds in Syria as many are fleeing for their lives. Pray for their protection and for God to lead them to safety.
- Pray for God’s divine wisdom, counsel, and unity for the Israeli government and IDF.
- Pray that angelic hosts will shield the borders of Israel and the IDF from all evil coming into the nation. Pray for the safety of all their citizens.
- Pray for Syria, that God Almighty will direct the course of this nation and bring it into divine order. Pray the innocent are protected. Pray for a revelation of Jesus Christ as Lord to the people of Syria.

France
The dismissal of the Prime Minister and the lack of a government coalition has caused political unrest in France.
- Declare the government of France is upon God’s Shoulders according to Isaiah 9.
- Pray for wisdom in decisions regarding appointments and coalitions as they are formed.
- Pray for the President to have an encounter with God and the purposes of God for his life and for France.
- Pray that the political situation is unblocked as the French people regain their value and identity.
- Pray for the Ecclesia of France as they position themselves in worship and prayer making decrees from Heaven to Earth on behalf of France.
Elections Worldwide Follow-Up
- 2024 was an unprecedented election year. Globally, more voters than ever in history went to vote in at least 64 countries. Many of these elections will prove consequential for years to come. In 2025, many newly elected or re-elected leaders are in the process of establishing policies and bringing together coalitions for government in their nations. As the Ecclesia, the legislative assembly of Heaven on earth, this continues to be an important time for us to pray for the fullness of God’s purposes in the nations.
- Lord, form our governments in Your Image.
- Strengthen the Ecclesia to have a clear impact from Heaven to the governments of Earth. Let God arise, and let His Church arise!
- Pray for newly elected leaders to have an encounter with God that transforms and directs them in the wisdom of God.
Decrees Over Aglow in the Nations of the World
- Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations. – Isaiah 56:7
- Lord, establish each nation as Your House of Prayer, joyfully giving honor to You!
Summon the Nations!
Aglow International is called to take the Light of Jesus, bring hope and build the Kingdom in all communities, cities and nations.
Look! You will summon nations you’ve never heard of. Nations who have never heard of you will come running to follow you because Yahweh, your God, the Holy One of Israel, has glorified you. – Isaiah 55:5 TPT
Aglow in the Gates of Nations
We are praying for Aglow to be affiliated in every nation of the world. We are very close to reaching that goal. Let’s continue to move forward together, a company of champions and global leaders of significance, to see Every nation touched, every heart changed.
- Declare Awakening throughout these nations of the earth!
- Lord, empower Aglow people in these nations to hasten Your Great Awakening.
- Pray for passion to fulfill Jesus’ apostolic commission to establish the Kingdom of God in each nation.
- Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. – Matthew 28:19-20
- We decree that the Great Commissions of Christ WILL be fulfilled!
- Pray there is an opening for Aglow International to cultivate a presence in every nation that creates an atmosphere of celebration, impartation and restoration.
- Pray for Christians in every nation to grow in courage and an overcoming spirit.

A Note and A Prayer
Isaiah 9:6 says, “and the government will be upon His shoulder.” Some translations say that the government will rest upon His shoulder. What a glorious place for government to rest – whether it’s the government of a nation or the leadership of an organization. Resting on His shoulder is a position near, but not above the Head. From that position, those called to lead can clearly hear the Voice of God and see things more distinctly from His perspective. It is near to the mind of Christ and the manifold wisdom of God. The shoulder is also near the Heart of God where desires and passions can conform to God’s Heart. There is great strength in the shoulder – strength that can carry leaders through the most trying times. The shoulder is also a place where we are comforted. Thank You, Lord, for Your plan to carry government and those called to lead on Your shoulder.
Lord, I lift up Aglow leaders at every level around the world to You today. Thank You for Your anointing and calling upon each one. Thank You that You give strength, wisdom and creativity for leadership. In prayer today, we declare that each one is resting upon Your shoulder – in that place of Your strength and comfort. We declare that each one has the Mind of Christ and is filled with the manifold wisdom of God. Lord, Aglow leaders hear Your Voice and rest secure in You. Amen!
