We love hearing from our Leaders and to see how God is leading them through this last interesting year. He is faithful in every season. We celebrate the gift of online tools to keep us connected and the ways leaders have been innovative to keep the ministry moving forward. Be encouraged by their faithfulness and endurance in this season. Join us in praying for these young leaders and Aglow Generations Groups.
Bahamas - from Generations leader Mycquel Glinton
As for Generations, initially we met on Zoom but decided to take a break from meetings. We were just checking in on the girls personally through phone calls because they have a bit of Zoom fatigue having been on the platform all day for school. Considering how challenging it has all been for them, we have tried to act as a support system and provide encouragement, while also giving them space to adjust to all the changes and process everything.
We have also held several food drives for local children's homes over the past year which, by God's grace, went really well, some were in collaboration with local Aglow chapters and the Area board. We also have an amazing testimony of how God allowed us to provide a laptop for one of our girls which was such a great witness of His faithfulness.
We were able to meet up with one of our girls last month for her birthday and took her out for lunch to hear how everything was going with her spiritually and mentally. So, it's been a journey for us all but God has been faithful to direct us month to month!
Great Britain – from Generations leader Temi Roberts
We started meeting in 2019 on the third Tuesday evening of each month. We share God’s Word together and pray in different creative ways. In one meeting, each member in attendance showcased their talents and giftings to bless others. (from arts to photography, to role plays, etc.) We also had just started watching the Life Changers DVD by Graham Cooke when the Covid19 Pandemic started. It encourages us to discover our identity in Christ. Since March of 2020 we have been meeting online via Zoom.
God has been meeting with us in Generations at Helens and Prescot on a personal level and we have felt supported by one another and founded on God's solid rock as we meet to pray and share God's word together. God gave us the name for our Generations group and it's called CHOSEN. We are believing God will add more people to our group and help us grow in him and that souls will be won to Christ. Amen.
We have an upcoming event in May, next month and we would like you to join us in praying that people will attend as they receive the invite and have a personal encounter with God, Amen.
