The Aglow leaders of the Democratic Republic of Congo, renewed their 2020 theme for 2021, “Saved to Serve God and Others”. They were able to resume serving in some activities in August 2020 and more operations in January of 2021.
The Aglow leaders of the Democratic Republic of Congo, renewed their 2020 theme for 2021, “Saved to Serve God and Others”. They were able to resume serving in some activities in August 2020 and more operations in January of 2021.
Their Aglow National Leader, Gertrude Ekoko and her team evaluated the work and activities they had done last year. They made a commitment to train leaders at all levels and did evangelism training for all teachers at their Aglow Zion Training Center in Kinshasa. Energy was focused on chapters that needed new life and upgrades.
Unfortunately, the families of Aglow members saw many deaths in the DRC, especially in the capital city of Kinshasa. However, in an eastern Kasai province there were not many COVID-19 cases, and Aglow does very well with many members.
The Aglow members there shared a testimony: They went to the prison to distribute food and clothes. Upon arrival, they found a 2-year-old child trapped with his mother. The regional Aglow president and her husband paid bail to get them out of prison. Sowing seeds of Jesus’ love.

Also in this province, the governor chose Aglow to lead the prayer of intercession for the country with other Christian associations on the radio. Again, sowing seeds of hope.
Lord, we thank You for comforting the families who have lost loved ones in DRC. May they feel Your comforting embrace and see Your provision! Bless the land, people and places that the Aglow DRC family are serving and sowing into. May they see Your goodness in the land of the living.
