In a recent email received from Dorothy Danso, the Aglow Ghana National President, she began by quoting Lamentations 3:22-23 "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning, great is Your faithfulness.”
Aglow Ghana has certainly demonstrated God’s faithfulness even in the midst of the pandemic they, too, are experiencing. Dorothy shared, “By God's grace, no member of Aglow was affected by the COVID-19 disease. We are all fit and working to His glory. However we do miss the unspeakable joy we share together in fellowship when we meet at conferences and conventions.”
In January 2020 Aglow Ghana was grateful to be able to hold their annual prayer conference in all the various regions of the nation. The monthly intercessory prayer meetings were held in January and February before the lockdown in March, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, during that period, Aglow was holding a national television broadcast on intercessory prayer monthly, for members to tune in and participate. This is still on-going.
All Fellowships meetings ceased during the lockdown but small groups of 3 and 4 members held conference call meetings to pray. Later, with the lifting of the ban on the lockdown fellowships met in groups of 20-100 members observing all the protocols put in place by the state.
In the hospitality ministry, they made sure that the essentials needed were provided by Aglow to some orphanages and prisons to support the inmates.
Though there are still some restrictions on large members or crowd meetings, Aglow Ghana is planning to hold a national thanksgiving in December, 2020 in Accra to celebrate God and thank Him for seeing them through the crisis and through to the end of the year 2020.
Mama Dorothy closed by saying, “On behalf of Aglow Ghana, we say well done and congratulations to Mama Jane for her wonderful leadership role in Aglow International to receive such an amazing honor for Aglow from the Israel Allies Foundation.
Also, we wish to commend her vision on the series of programs held every Friday on YouTube worldwide. We thank God for her life, we are so delighted and proud of her.”
