C.W. from Minnesota recently responded to Aglow’s Friday video release, “Turning the Tables” by Graham Cooke. She said, “I was not able to attend the conference in 2023, but my heart was with you.”
As she opened her personal email, she said, “I was happy to see this email today. The first words I saw were, “He is Turning the Tables”. A few weeks ago, I wrote down what I sensed the Lord was speaking to me. ‘Jesus is coming once again. Now to turn the tables of the enemy.’ What a blessing to see these words from Aglow International! I had picked up the piece of paper where I had written what I sensed the Lord was saying to me. I set it aside wondering what it meant and if I had even heard from the Lord. The confirmation from your email was so precious!”
C.W. went on to say,
“This year my husband and I will celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. This is one more miracle God has been doing in our lives.
My journey of recovery began in 1979 when my cousin invited me to Aglow. There, I received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with a prayer language that would lead me in battles with the enemy. I was given scripture verses that I used as a sword against the attacks on my mind and the surging of rage that erupted toward my children. You see, I was determined to be the perfect mother and I was falling so short. The anger I felt was with myself, but it lashed out at my children, especially my son.
God brought back memories from my childhood and healed them! Memories of being rejected at birth by my mother who took me home and cared for me the best she could along with 3 older siblings, and later two more younger than me. I had memories of sexual abuse by my father from a very young age until I awoke in the middle of the night when I was 12 in the midst of an abortion.
With these memories, I realized that the rage I had was not at myself or my children, but at my father. While it was real, legitimate anger, it was spilling out in the wrong direction.
My healing began as Aglow women welcomed me with hugs every time I attended the gatherings. Even when I hated myself, they hugged me! Gradually, I began to believe I was loveable. Now, some 40 years later, God has put me in a place where I can speak into the lives of younger women who are in recovery from drug addiction. Some have been trafficked. I see that God created each of us as His priceless works of art, but the enemy came into our lives to ‘kill, steal, and destroy.’ John 10:10 Now, Jesus has come to restore each one of us to His original design. We are His treasures!”
C.W. closed with this, “I am privileged to see God at work and He is now turning the tables on the enemy!”
