Shelly Breitzmann, VP of Administration, for the Duluth, MN Community Lighthouse, and the outreach team showed up in force at the Hermantown Police Department in spite of the 15-30 mph sustained winds that day. There were even gusts reaching 50 mph!
The team prepared a very nice baked potato bar luncheon with an abundance of topping choices and combinations. Unfortunately, the weather kept the officers so busy that they were busy taking care of citizens during lunchtime.
Not to be deterred from their task, the outreach team adapted by leaving the food so the offices could eat when they were back at the station. They left a generous supply of desserts, too!
The team took the time to focus prayers on the many dangers the officers encounter while carrying out their duties.
We encourage you to keep your local law enforcement in prayer as they face hostile situations daily. Lord, grant them peace and protection. Give them the wisdom to discern where ambushes are set up and wisdom to defuse dangerous encounters.
