The Madison Aglow Lighthouse along with the ladies from the Fulton Recovery House for Women met at the home of Priscilla Weaver, WV Area Team President, to make goody trays to distribute to community helpers such as two local volunteer fire departments, the County Sheriff’s office and the office of Cornerstone Family Interventions, owned by Monica Ballard-Booth, a licensed psychologist, who allows Aglow to hold our meetings in her conference room. She often joins us for events and meetings. We also delivered a tray to the Hero House, a recovery house for men.
Of course, we enjoyed sampling the chocolate-covered strawberries, cookies, and the spoon candy that didn’t set up. (So we ate it with a spoon.) Most of the girls had worked all day before attending and helping with the baking/cooking, wrapping and clean-up. After that, we had prayer and anointed one of the girls for healing who has a serious blood disorder.
