In a testimony from an Aglow leader in a *Restricted Nation our leader writes,

crownI want to glorify the name of our Lord Jesus Christ by giving my testimony about how the Lord has fulfilled His promises to me.

I got married in 1981, but in 1989 my marriage failed when my husband got another woman pregnant in an affair.  After much prayer and guidance from the Lord, my four year old son and I left our home.  At times I felt completely alone and broken hearted, but our Lord is great.

One day while attending a fellowship in my church, the Lord spoke to me, and I was filled with Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. The Lord fulfilled His words to me from Isaiah 28:11 “For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.”  From that very moment God took my burden, giving me rest, comfort, and peace.

There was a time when I was in great distress about my son’s education just before he started school.  In His mercy, the Lord sent someone to my house to encourage me.  He spoke a word about my son’s successful education.  That time the Lord gave me Psalm 34:4-5 on which to stand.  Truly the Lord fulfilled His words. My son completed his education successfully with an M.B.A. degree and is now working in his profession.  I am very thankful to the Lord for His uncountable blessings.

I am grateful to be a part of Aglow where I am continually learning, and feel the power of Holy Spirit.  The Lord first promoted me from being a simple woman, to become the president of an Aglow Fellowship. From there I became the Area Board Vice President of Ministry and Retreats.  The Lord has given me the gift of revelation, and the privilege of speaking His Word in different churches.

I have experienced the fulfilment of His words written in John 14:15-17 “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever - the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.”

I prayed to the Lord, and He answered me; He freed me from all my fears. The oppressed look to Him and are glad. They will never be disappointed. He has truly given me a crown of beauty instead of ashes.

*The term “Restricted Nation” as used in Aglow is a nation where it is difficult or dangerous to be a Christian. Therefore, for the safety and security of Aglow leaders and members, the name of the leaders and nations are withheld from the story.
