2016 conf head leaders summit

Thursday, November 10 - 3:00PM

graham cookeGraham Cooke“Unplugged from the past and rewired for the future.”  Wow!  When God does something, He does it with gusto!

Recently Jane Hansen Hoyt quoted a statement we first heard from Graham Cooke several years ago. “Identity is key to our transformation.” She went on to say, “You have to know your identity. You have to own it. You have to speak it. And you have to fully step into it.” Jane was speaking at the newly formed Central Region (Shelly Morales, Regional Director) meeting in Denver, CO. She spoke of the current day, end time war that we find ourselves in, “We are a military unit of His Presence. We are an active member of His Body. We are preparing the way for His return. A river of life is flowing out of Aglow because we know Whose we are! We have been outfitted by God for such a time as this!”

This year we are excited to announce that Graham Cooke will be joining us during our equipping time for leaders, Thursday, Nov. 10th beginning at 3 pm. Time will be short. Plan now to receive all God has for us as we continue to walk into the future as champions, warriors, and leaders of global significance!

2016 conf head giftsttcity

pumThis year, Presbyterian Urban Ministries (PUM) has been chosen as Aglow's recipient for Gifts to the City.  As you know, each year a worthy organization is chosen in the host city of Aglow's U.S. National, or global, Conference to receive gifts to support their program.  In the last few years, you have blessed our conference cities of Indianapolis (2015) and Albuquerque (2014). Thank you for your continued generosity as we prepare to bless San Diego!

About PUM

Established in 1968, Presbyterian Urban Ministries (PUM) has worked not only to meet their clients’ immediate and physical needs but have also gone beyond this level to offer psychological, social, and spiritual services that can lead to real transformations. The need is great and the growing homeless population in San Diego has moved the city into the fourth highest in the United States. PUM is a Christ centered outreach, dedicated to helping those in need with a focus on “a hand up rather than just handouts”.

In 2015 PUM served 7,850 clients, providing a variety of services from clothing and hygiene kits to eye glasses, children’s backpacks, and Christmas programs. Presbyterian Urban Ministries connects people in need with housing at an interfaith shelter as well as recovery institutions.

Guided by the love of Christ and his mandate to serve with compassion and humility, PUM’s staff and volunteers will continue the tradition of offering individualized care for each client as an honored child of God that the ministry is honored to serve in love.

For more information visit the PUM website.

Please consider purchasing and bringing one or more of the following items and donating it to Presbyterian Urban Ministries at the Gifts to the City table located in the Atlas Foyer, near the Marketplace:

Thank you for your kindness and generosity in blessing this charity and helping to meet the needs of thousands of people in San Diego. Through your gifts we can offer loving support to the work God is doing in this city!
