Turnaround is being experienced in many states throughout the US. Where people have stood and believed, there is marked increase in Lighthouses being restored and new leaders arising. Here are just 3 examples.
Utah - Toni McMurtrey, Sandy Utah Area President, related that in the past there were 9 Aglows in Utah. That number shrunk to 3, but now 2 more have been officially affiliated. Though the recovery has been slower than anticipated, it is happening. Both new Lighthouses are in cities where Aglow has previously had lighthouses. The women in one town have been praying and fasting on Fridays for this.
Arizona – Chris Bauernfeind, Tuson Arizona Area President, shares that the Tanque Verde Aglow recently had an outreach in the apartment complex where they hold their meetings. The group went door to door inviting the residents to a celebration meeting. Seventy people attended and had a wonderful time. Some are planning to attend Aglow now. The management is amazed and they have great favor there.
Colorado - Carolyn Ryer, Berthoud Colorado Area President, reported that the Greely Lighthouse has been struggling. They lost their meeting place so, met in the President's home. Attendance decreased, but the President kept believing for a turnaround. They now have a new place to meet, growing attendance, and a new officer.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
