I will declare Your greatness. I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works. I will speak of the might of Your awesome acts, As I declare Your greatness, And I will sing of Your righteousness.

"We went to minister to the flooded area on Wednesday, March 19th. We prepared packages of rice, sugar and noodles for 315 families. We also gave packages containing whatever we got, like clothes, underwear, sanitary napkins, milk, soap, toothbrushes and tooth paste. It was amazing how fast the ladies worked. We had a meeting on Thursday, March 13, where I told the ladies that I saw on TV that an area, 1 hour from Surabaya was flooded and asked if we going to do anything to help.
I asked the ladies to find a contact who can guide us to the flooded area. The next day, Friday, one of the ladies called me, telling me that she has a contact in that area, a Pastor. On Saturday, 2 ladies went to the area to do a survey. They met with the head of the village, asked how many families there were in need and made all the arrangements. I appointed the lady with the contact to be the coordinator of the relief effort. She called all the presidents of the fellowships in Surabaya and asked them to raise funds, bought rice, etc and prepared the packages. On Monday we had a meeting to arrange all the details such as the transportation, etc. On Wednesday we went to the village. Less than a week after our initial meeting!
We went with 2 small trucks with the rice packages and 6 vans with about 20 ladies and the other packages (clothes etc). The road to the village was flooded, so to get there, we had to cross a wide river by a small boat. All the packages were carried by boat too. The people were very happy and thankful. They had not received any aid from the government, because their village was not considered badly flooded. Only the worse areas got help. They said that even if we had not brought anything, just visiting them to show our empathy would have earned their gratitude.
The village rice fields that were ready to be harvested in 4 days were flooded. The people don’t have anything to live on for the next months. What we brought would just help them for a couple of days. We distributed the packages at the village hall which was not flooded.
We were tired but very happy that we could do something to help those people in need. We were blessed!"
As the report states, the people in Indonesia are still in dire need. Pray for Aglow's continued work in this area. Give now to support their work.
