Fairborn Ohio Lighthouse Catches the Vision

When Tina Marie Brown became the President of the Fairborn Ohio Lighthouse this year, she was encouraged by her Area President and Area Advisor to align with the new Vision & Mission Statement of Aglow International. As a former bank manager, she knew the importance of honoring the headship of her leaders and catching the vision of the organization she was serving.
With that directive in mind, Tina began sharing words from Jane Hansen Hoyt with her team at Lighthouse meetings, and in their monthly newsletters. Since few of the women were getting emails from the Aglow Headquarters office, she encouraged them to go the Aglow website to register for MyAglow so they could begin to receive the messages that were being sent out, and to become Covenant Partners.
At the June meeting, Tina shared from Jane’s Letter, A Fresh Impetus of the Spirit on Aglow. The response was overwhelming. Tina reports, The women are starting to get excited. There is a buzz in our area about Aglow and its impact on local and worldwide communities. New women are coming to our Lighthouse meetings, and old members are starting to come back. In fact, we outgrew our current meeting room within 2 months, so we are moving to a new location that can hold up to 500 women. We are encouraging our members to sow into the fertile soil of Aglow International. As a Lighthouse, we have increased our giving to the Headquarters office and Area Team. As a result, our Lighthouse offerings are increasing as well. We are expecting the Lord to show up and show out in our meetings.
Brown went on to say, In our July meeting the Lord gave us a beautiful prophetic love song. As that song was being sung over our members, the glory of the Lord rained down on us. Women began to weep as God infused them with His love. Many were delivered and set free from numerous things that day.
I believe the reason for Fairborn, Ohio’s ‘fresh impetus’ is a result of coming into alignment with the Aglow International Headquarters office. The days of playing church and having ‘bless me’ clubs are over. We are on a mission to see the lost saved, the oppressed set free, and people restored to a radiant place of relationship with God and others. We are going forth with an expectant heart. Old things are passing away and the new thing is emerging. The best is yet to come!
